Surprised to also see Zelda beating Horizon!
Pocky Lover Boy!

I thought Nintendo consoles already had the only worthwhile games in existence

oh
well if that does it for you, who am i to judge
UK kind of strange though, one of the biggest games of last year (on any platform) was Pokeomon Sun/Moon and this would suggest that THAT didn't even make UK #1. UK gaming market seems to flow at a very different direction that a lot of other markets, even in Europe

I buy more Nintendo product than likely anyone on this board, but I haven't liked their business decisions of late and I'm honest in stating that. I am pro-Nintendo generally. And yes, sure. MS should consider putting some games on Switch. I wouldn't mind a Rare Replay or Halo 1/2/3 ports. |
you'd think you'd be pretty thrilled with Nintendo's decisions LATELY compared with 2012 with the Wii U. Talk about a 100% turnaround in logical moves. Not purrfect, sure, but much better

Nope, not on the combined charts because they were counted as separate SKU's... and released at a much more competitive time of year. |
note: it is kind of bogus that Sun/Moon are not counted together in some instances. They are literally the same game with a slight variation and people almost always (in terms of lifetime charts) combine mirror Pokemon games (Gold/Silver, Red/Blue, etc.)

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is off to a fantastic start in the UK. With the latest UK charts beginning to surface, this marks the first time that a Nintendo boxed game has reached the top spot since 2011. Pokemon White on DS was the last title to accoplish the feat. Additionally, it’s the first Mario game at the top spot since Mario Kart Wii. GamesIndustry also reports that “Nintendo used the launch of its racer to ship more Switch stock to retailers, which has seen The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild return to the Top Five (at No.5) with a 68% increase in sales week-on-week.” Puyo Puyo Tetris debuted at the 18th spot, “with the majority of sales coming on Nintendo Switch.” The preliminary charts are as follows:

Tied? Although I doubt the sales could be that exact. UK market proves to be an odd one, though.
What I posted in the other thread: This is both great news for the future and horribly revealing news for how terrible Nintendo has done in the UK this past generation.
