TThis threads Opening Post is shit.

Can't expect much else from the OP. His insecurity is legendary.

Why did you just put old ports into one with the Switch, while giving Kingdom Hearts Collection, Wipeout Collection and FFXII separately?

PS4 has more games this year, that's for sure, I'd be worried about it if that wasn't the case. The important thing is what you are left with when you depure those lists to fit your taste, in my case and taking away games I can play in other consoles I already own it would be something like this:

PS4:
Nier Automata
Ni-Oh
Gravity Rush 2
Tales of Berseria
Tekken 7
Final Fantasy XII HD Remaster
Dragon Quest IX (japan)

Switch:
Super Bomberman R
Arms
Splatoon 2
Mario Odyssey
Dragon Quest XI (japan)

3DS:
Dragon Quest VIII
Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
Monster Hunter Stories
Ever Oasis
Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires’ Conspiracy
Miitopia
Culdcept Revolt
RPG Maker FES
The Snack World: Trejarers
New Kirby title
Dragon Quest XI (japan)
The Aliance Alive (japan)
The Great Ace Attorney 2 (japan)
Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology (japan)
Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey (japan)

Well, well, would you look at that, such an unexpected result..

Wow! Going by your 100% accurate list that I'm sure didn't miss out a single notable title shows that the PS4's line-up sucks compared to all those 3DS games you managed to list there. Well I think it's pretty obvious that 3DS will be selling more than double the number's of PS4 this year since your list is telling me that the 3DS is getting double the amount of games for PS4 this year!

There is a noticeable gap in terms of quantity between PS4 and Switch exclusives. However, it is the conclusion that really bothers me.
We can take a good, long look at the high-profile ports
(...)
However, I have to object to your suggestion that "I see people who buy every boring mini-game and ignore all the great story / gameplay games because the games do not appear on their system. This is sad, right?"
I'm sorry, what?
Not everyone shares your standards, and while I am rather sorry for those who bought 1-2 Switch for a full $50, I am going to have to object to this.

okay i understand. For me personally are old Games-Ports = Ports. "The Last of Us" on PS4 was also a port (with extras), even if it is a great game - but it's not a new game. I am interested in every opinion. And I'm never aggressive, just because I do not like an opinion from anyone. Everyone should think about it. You can see it as a small experiment here.
"Not everyone shares your standards" - No one has said it :) But I have read comments from users, where it is so. Looking forward to the comments here, especially by two people and above the result. Ultimately, it is just a comparison, everyone says his opinion. And i thank you for yours :)

Aye. I didn't try to insinuate that you were being aggressive, but your thread style does annoy quite a few people (though this is also a function of grasp on the English language).

I think that the discussion about ports on the Switch are more about giving more people a chance to play those titles, though. Thus, it is perfectly valid to include them in a "list war" of sorts, provided that the focus is on drawing new players to the platform - not necessarily that of "my platform has the best games to play!"

By the way, you may want to look at your Dragon Quest game. You mean XI, but you typed in IX.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Copy & Paste

  • 1-2-Switch (Nintendo, March 3rd)
  • Snipperclips - Cut it out, together! (Nintendo, March 3rd)
  • Just Dance 2017 (Ubisoft, March 3rd)
  • I Am Setsuna (Square Enix, March 3rd)
  • Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove (March 3rd, 2017)
  • Fate Extrella
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
  • ect

you list many multigames. Lots of mediocre stuff, very few highlights, many old games and ports. I thought here is the talk of high-quality and BIG games? But.. If you list every little things, the PS4 (and Xbox) list is probably ten times bigger than the Switch list. Thats why.. The copy & paste list makes no sense. please write the biggest switch-games in the next month.. which have a amazing story and / or gameplay ; )

Okay : ) No, you're not aggressive :) I mean general. "I think that the discussion about ports on the Switch are more about giving more people a chance to play those titles, though". ok i understand you, thats great for the people with one console. Actually, I would delete the collections (kingdom hearts, crash, wipeout), but because many games (KHCollection has 6, Crash 3 or so?) are included - I had written them down. Thank you for the info with DQ @TheWPCTraveler

The list of your friend is "copy & paste, there is every stuff in it - every little thing, every 40% game, many multigames ect." As you said, you could simply post the list of other consoles - but then it's not about quality Games on Switch, where the chance is great to have a awesome story and good gameplay. Of these lists with a hundred things, none has what. Some games, however, I can update in the list. If somebody lists the entire 2017 game list for PS4, oh wow..
Then a comparison does not make sense right, because the switch has MANY LESS @ jason1637

Fun must be sometimes ^^ ;D Your comment is awesome and you has right :D I also compare only the current situation - the year 2017 ^^ @Turkish

Should be added to the OP

Who cares? About any of that? Duh the PS4 is going to have more games. It's in it's third year and it has way more third party support.

And to those people making the stupid comments like "You better be worried about the Switch. " why? Is the PS4 going to stop getting games if the Switch does well? Are you talking about sales? Because even if he cares about sales, the PS4 is well on its way to 100 million units and has a really good chance of becoming the second or third best selling home console ever.

This is a cringe worthy thread full of cringe worthy posts.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

the PS4 line up is just... so amazing! =)
Japan is awesome! xD
yakuza, nier etc .. so many masterpieces.. just WOW =)
THANK YOU PS4 for awesome games! =)

basically every KazumaKiryu thread

By comparing the PS4 lineup to others, you're making it feel less amazing, as if anything comes close to it right now, no comparison is fair at this point. I mean everyone knows about the PS4 library, its HUEGG, already considered to be the best in over a decade. Now it's about the others to prove what they do. The Switch is barely a month old and we don't know much about the library. Even if it turns out to be weak like it looks like you need to consider it's just the 1st year.

Yes PS4 has a much bigger lineup, of good games.
However all the Switch needs is a few great games, and it ll keep selling.

With Mario Oddessey & Zelda BoTW, they have first year down.
People will buy a system simply for those 2 games, reguardless of it has anything else worth playing.
Which it will, splatoon2, MK8, Xenoblade, ect.
