The problem with the Rockets is that they rely way to heavily on ISO ball. They rely too often on James Harden or Chris Paul dribbling 10-15-20 seconds off the shot clock before they do a little bit of dancing with the ball and then drive to basket where they either: A) Take it straight the hole for a lay up. B) Kick out to a corner or wing man, (Ariza, Tucker, Gordon, Anderson, etc.) for a 3 point attempt. Or C) Step back, pull-up jumper.

Hey, it's worked for them very well throughout the 82 game regular season and the first two rounds of the playoffs. But not that they're up against the the defending champs, who've been to the Finals 3 years in a row, the Warriors knew exactly what to expect. They just had to sit on their defenders, not even get into a defensive stance sometimes, and just wait for Harden or Paul to make their move. Sometimes it came at the expense of poor Stephen Curry, who the Rockets would make him switch onto Harden he had the ball. But in the long run, it worked. Because, they did not have to exert much energy on defense, they could get more rebounds, get out more in transition, and run their offense the way they want to. And the Warriors' offense is the polar opposite of ISO ball. Say what you will about Kevin Durant, his move to the Warriors, and how OP they are. But, watching them move the ball around and playing as a team is basketball in its purest, finest form; Just a thing of beauty to watch. They almost never play ISO ball unless they absolutely have to. It forces a defense to stay on its toes at all times, and if that defense is not up to the challenge for 48 minutes, they're not going to last long. Which is exactly what happened. The 1st half was anyone's game, then in the 2nd half, the Warriors just wore the Rockets down.

Wow Boston won game 2. It would be embarrassing if a full strength Cleveland team can't beat Boston without their 2 best players in Hayward and kyrie. No one thought Boston had any chance

I could see the Celtics winning in 5. Lebron had a 42 point triple double, and lost by double digits. Quite honestly it just looked like the Cavs gave up near the beginning of the 4th quarter. There isn't much I want to say because I don't really know what else can be said.

This very well might be the end of the road for LeBron's legendary run of consecutive Finals appearances.
He had a 42-10-12 Triple Double, got a great game from Kevin Love, 22 & 15;
Didn't matter. They still lost by double digits.

And to rub salt on the wound, the Celtics did it WITHOUT their 2 best players.
If Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward were healthy and playing to their best ability, then a fully healthy, 100% Boston Celtics team could give the Golden State Warriors a challenging series and mop the floor with the Houston Rockets in the NBA Finals.

Man, that's a total 180 of what I thought heading into this series. The Celtics sure made me look stupid. Respect, Boston. Respect.

That's cute. It implies that the Cavaliers are an actual team, with multiple championship caliber pieces. The Cavs are Lebron James. That is all. Without him, this "team" would be in the lottery.

Boston may be down it's 2 best players, but they're still an actual team. Loaded with depth, and well coached. All their guys are versatile, young, athletic, and unlike the Raptors, they're not afraid. "No one," meaning sports media and casual fans, thought that Boston stood a chance, because they've seen Lebron dominate the East for so many years, they're unwilling to pick against him until they actually see somebody knock him off. Truth is, if you know anything about basketball, and you were paying attention, you knew the Cavs were about to have a problem on their hands. I believe I said earlier in this thread, before the semi finals finished, that the Celtics would likely take the Cavs in 6.

Lebron would have to go absolutely nuclear to get past this team.

Replay looked like a cheap shot by Tatum on James towards the end of the 2nd quarter. Derozan's cheap shot looked softer than Tatum's cheap shot on James. Tatum's cheap shot helped the Celtics outscore the Cavs by 20 points in the second half to turn around a 7 point half time deficit into a 13 point win to make the series 2-0.

That wasn't even remotely a cheap shot. He clearly went for the ball, with both hands. The shoulder to jaw contact was completely incidental. Really nothing to see there at all. Two players moving at some velocity in opposite directions at the baseline, where there's simply very little space.

Edit: And your assertion that that foul helped boost the Celtics to it's second half performance, or conversely is to blame for the Cavs coming out flat in said second half, playing atrocious defense, etc...is absolutely ridiculous.

A) That's no cheap shot. JR Smith pushing Al Horford while he went up to get the ball in the closing minutes of the 4th quarter. THAT was a cheap shot.
B) Even that foul never happened, it would not have made a difference.

The Cavs can still win in a 6 or 7 game series and advance to the NBA Finals. Despite losing  the first 2 games, Lebron will still be saying it is only Boston, I have beaten them before in playoff series.

The Cavs obviously have to take this one game at a time, and while nothing is impossible, it's time to get realistic.

LeBron had a 42 point triple double and Love had a 22 point double double. Against the Pacers and Raptors that may have gotten Cleveland a win. Not only did Cleveland lose this game, they lost by double digits. LeBron has definitely proved that throughout the years the East goes through him, however, it seems that this year LeBron's GM skills cost him greatly in the sense that he built a terrible team and have no chemistry or coaching skills near the level of Boston, and as such the torch is being passed down to the younger teams of the Celtics, 76ers, and Pacers.

Now putting this all into perspective, you really believe this Cav team can win 4 out of 5 games left, let alone 4 straight?! The experts say the Celtics stood no chance once LeBron goes off. LeBron went off tonight, and not only did he lose, it looked like he gave up at the end of the game. If the Cavs cant win when LeBron plays like a monster, I just fail to see how they can win a game at all. Boston literally has to disappear for 4 games, and even then I wouldn't put it passed the Cavs to blow it.

I think Jordan and Kobe could definitely win this series with this Cav team, but LeBron is a ball hog in the sense that everything goes through him. The Bulls and Lakers didn't use Jordan or Kobe as the PG, but for 90% of the game LeBron is the PG, which just does not suit him. He wastes too much time playing ISO ball, and since he is the PG, he fails to get his guys into the game as well, further lowering team morale. I am not saying Jordan or Kobe wouldn't make the same mistakes LeBron does if they were in his positions, they just knew their roles and played tough on both sides of the ball.

There are only a few ways the Cavs could win this. If they start playing defense they might stand a chance, but odds are that isn't gonna happen. The other is divine intervention, which is still more likely than the Cavs actually playing defense, but unlikely as well.

Quite honestly at the rate this series is going I would be surprised if it goes to 6 games. Based on everything I've seen and the looks as if the Cavs are giving up, I'm giving this to Boston in 5. I respect LeBron in what he did making it to the Finals for 8 straight years (although the East has been an absolute joke for years now), which is why I think he may take a game, but when it comes to the series as a whole, I just cant see it. If LeBron cant win scoring 42, I just cant comprehend what it will take.
