Interesting point of view. I do assume its not zero-sum for Nintendo to continue to coordinate and produce this system. However, it can't be so busy that it requires a lot from Nintendo directly. I would assume its more of, "here's a new PO for an additional 500K units" to a producer. Though there has to be someone also coordinating the overall orders from retailers as well, but that can be limited to say the top 3 in any given territory and that in itself defines your production order. idk, I'd figure this would be a relatively simple product to keep up, even if you just had a standing order to build like 50K a month until you saw orders begin to decline from retailers.

I sent a hate letter to Nintendo about how they handled the NES Classic Edition and I didn't even resort to bad language. I tried hard to just put a straight out case of how they messed up everything (mainly with limited systems shipped and not continuing to sell it through at least their website so they can gauge their supply and demand through systems ordered through their site).

They didn't even responded to me. At this point I say fuck Nintendo.  Fils-Aime can suck my dick.

They have the resources (money) which they can easily turn the spigot on (contract manufacturing).  They have the money they just don't feel like paying a contract manufacturer money to produce more.

It was a well constructed letter showing my discontent so it wasn't really a hate letter.  Like I said I didn't even use a swear word.  I sent them a lot worse and they've always responded with a half ass response.

The response or the NES Classic? 

I really wanted the NES Classic but didn't preorder it.  I assumed that Nintendo would ship enough of them during the holiday season.  I then tried going to stores and calling within the first weeks of release.  I eventually just gave up after multiple failed attempts.  I'm not going to waste my time trying to track it down nor pay outrageous 200-300 markup on ebay/amazon. 

As for response...  A half ass sorry would have been nice but still wouldn't have really helped much.  Fils-Aime response is bullshit anyways.

Arent they doing a second run of it or is that already sold out?
