I hope this is true.

They literally had fighting game pros on the dev team.  They were there mostly to balance the game, though.  It never should have been supers-based.   But, hopefully the next one is better.

Didn't the first barely crack 1m? Seems highly unlikely.

Still, I'd buy, love the first.

Yeah, i'm a little surprised if sony would really consider a sequel...but the idea was not bad, but maybe done all new from the ground it could become a great game

Focus more on first party characters and enhancing gameplay mechanics. Like from Smash 64 to Melee and so forth. And if third parties were to be involved, at least include those with a legacy (i.e. Crash, Cloud, and Snake) and not those with a promotional intention for upcoming games (i.e. Raiden and new Dante, though I didn't mind them).

When you get poked for Cloud and Snake being in Smash before PSAS when their big games (FFVII and MGS, respectively) weren't on the N64 at their time and such, you know you had a problem with the cast of stars on your PSAS roster. Not to say it was bad, but when it comes to Smash, out know you're getting at least the main stars of Nintendo along with a mix of old and new school with third party guest characters that either contributed to Nintendo's legacy (ie Mega Man and Ryu) or have a legacy that can't be ignored (i.e. Cloud and Pac Man).

I actually enjoyed the game a lot. I know it got tons of hate for being a "Smash clone", but it was still a cool game. I'm definitely interested in another game.

The reason they cancelled dart was because no one was buying it :P it's a catch 22.

They better include Crash this time! I see huge potential in this franchise!

If this is true then i hope they get rid of the points system (or change it) and add some more characters like Crash.
