Called it, R* pulled ye old C&D on the project.

Even though gamers want to bring the game in one way, R* still refuses to allow for it, yet they know that the market wants it.

Maybe just maybe they're planning a port of RDR for PC around the time that RDR2 releases on console? If not, it is pretty dickish for them to pull the mod.

I dunno, it's been 6 and a half years since RDR. R* would have made some form of announcement by now, but they only have RDR 2 on the horizon. I can't see them pulling all the stops for a GTA V style remaster for PC of RDR and also handing over 2. Don't forget that R* are quite happy and comfortable with the idea of GTA V MP than they were for not making any SP content. The MP side of GTA V is something that gives them more control and money, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them pulling the same with RDR 2, after all RDR had a half and half focus on both SP and MP. I can easily see them pulling shark cards out again as well as "ranch" style homes for players to buy, cattle to own and getting robbed by other players.

I'm also not fond of the idea that a dev would willingly keep a secret for this long, I mean at least drop some hints, SE have been dropping big hints of the FFXV PC port and that didn't take 6 and a half years to hint at either, more like a few months.

R* could learn from SE in terms of teasing, rather than pulling mod after mod and keeping quiet about everything. For all we know they could be pulling the mod and not ahving any such plans to release anything on PC, because they are big enough now and made a metric ton from double and triple dippers, that they likely won't care for that other market anymore (which would be a middle finger and an ignorant missed opportunity to make money in the future if true).

Just move on. It has been 6 years.

Bayonetta 2 won't come to any other platform, MGS4 won't either and this likely won't come to PC. That's what happens and apparently several 100k additional sales won't change these decisions.

Unless they're also launching that port on XboxOne and PS4, I really, really doubt Rockstar and Take 2 would bother making it just for the PC users.

Where is the 100k coming from?.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be the game of the year

Not from me, since I said several 100k. I couldn't say several millions, as I doubt that Bayonetta 2 would do that much on other platforms.
