Even though gamers want to bring the game in one way, R* still refuses to allow for it, yet they know that the market wants it.

Maybe just maybe they're planning a port of RDR for PC around the time that RDR2 releases on console? If not, it is pretty dickish for them to pull the mod. 

Unless they're also launching that port on XboxOne and PS4, I really, really doubt Rockstar and Take 2 would bother making it just for the PC users.
