Looking forward to the final results on the 28th. They have done a great job turing things around. Now I hope they can get back to making great Sony products. I love my Z9D, but the Android OS is garbage. I really hope they start bringing all of their hardware together behind the PlayStation OS and PlayStation Store. If I could get a new Sony TV and Phone running on the PS4 OS I would't hesitate. Having the best Hardware and the best OS on the same devices market wide would be a huge boost, and drive these profits even further.

I would also like to see them get serious about utilizing their game IP's for movies. They have such a huge opportunity to bring back old franchises through movies and tv series, or expand current franchises. Optimally, I think they should be the gaming version of Disney. I would love a connected Sony universe, and a Sony theme park with gaming themed rides and attractions.

Sony has the most potential of any company on the planet. From electronics, to home entertainment, to software and services. If they can get the machine running, and get all divisions on the same page, we could see some magical stuff. Hope Kaz and the team can finally put it all together.

And articles about Sonys bankruptcy began floating around with the PS3, well before that algorithm in my link was created and posted on the Internet. Sony as a whole lost money for nearly 10 years straight, sold off one or two huuuuge buildings, laid off tens of thousands of workers, spun off some divisions. That article isn't why everyone thought Sony was on the verge of bankruptcy. The clearly bad management from that era is the reason people thought they were going bankrupt. Articles like what I included only exasperated the idea.

Looks like we are in agreement regarding forecasts.

I really don't remember how prevalent articles about Sony's bankruptcy were, but articles are often opinion pieces of people who don't know much about how financials work. Limiting the potential bankruptcy of Sony to the input of analysts though, I don't recall any analysts who claimed such a thing.

From what I remember it was mostly fan talk in forums, I never read a serious source claiming something like that
