Let's just change the thread title to " Nintendo and Sony Metacritic dick measuring contest", what else could this be.

It has 4 games in the top 20!!! Oh yeah I see what you stopped at top 5.

Will Super Mario Odyssey be the next to join the top 5?

Because it has top 3 of top 5 games, and that's quite impressive for system thats just released.

I think Mario Odyssey will be around 95 game, but that necessary doent means it will join top 5 of whole 2017. beacuse 2017. killing it for now with qualite games.

MK8 being so high is pretty suspect. Its just MK8 with all dlc and battle mode. I dont remember HD collections scoring higher than their original titles. That isnt to say im not buying the shit out of it, still critics are well too lenient on certain franchises.

Ew, Mario Kart way too high. Also the only remaster I know of (there could be another one, but I can't really think of any) to ever score better than the original game, for some reason. And don't tell me fixing Battle Mode is automatically worth of five more points!

Oh but it is! Battle Mode was a huge part of my enjoyment of Mario Kart 64 and Double Dash. The pityful versions found in MK Wii and the original MK8 made it seem like Mario Kart was missing something. Now that I know that this mode is back in its full glory, I'm kicking myself for not preordering a Switch when I had the chance.

Hey, come on, some people need validation from Metacritic to fill their hearts with love.

That's impressive for a launch window. I wonder if any other consoles matched that? Maybe the Dreamcast?

It certainly has a stellar exclusive, something the PS4 and Xbone lacked at launch.

"Its a new port" its not the same as its a new game.

Well you know what, you're a bad person. You like battling people, throwing shells to people in their face for the sake of it instead of as a means to win a race. Like that's the epitome of evilness. No wonder you think it's worth five more points for it alone!

People are really reaching here. Shovel Knight is suddenly an important game. Mario Kart WiiU is also a masterpiece now. Are people really re-buying a kart racer?
