The load times were one of the few things I didn't like about the Wii U version. That and battle mode. Looking forward to this game, we already have a launch party with some friends planned.

We’ve heard that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe features improved loading times. In a new video from NomComms, we’re able to see just how much they’ve improved.

With the initial boot, the time it takes to start up Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is nearly half of the Wii U version. Going into tracks themselves also shave off several seconds.

Ports from wii u aren't enough to make me buy a Switch as I'm a wii u owner but if I ever do get a Switch I would probably quickly add it to my library depending on price. I guess like Zelda BOTW you can play the wii u version emulated at 4k which technically is massively superior to this Switch port. In fact with Mario Kart already being 60fps you probably need a less powerful PC than running Zelda at 4k 60fps.
