It would be awesome to be able to play Sony first-party on PC. There are some pretty big concerns that along with that, however.

1) The state of the console industry without Playstation? Original Xbox One with Kinect versus the Wii U.

You see the problem, right? One really isn't interested in gaming to begin with and the other is only interested in themselves.

2) Sony is a hardware company first and foremost. I think they'd have the hardest time of the Big Three making that transition, as they're not really set up to make money with first-party content. They take a lot of risks and develop a lot of games with low returns for the sake of increasing their consumer base. The whole philosophy is centered around that. They'd probably only go that route if they could really get an alternative content deliver service running smoothly. They're working on that, certainly, but they're nowhere near ready to make that kind of jump.

Yes, sure, everyone going third party will always be better for gamers, but is it better for Sony or any other company that manufactures consoles? Nope.

I know it's a joke thread, but there are some real issues with a possible scenario of Sony going third party, both for Sony and for gamers, huge issues.

Anyway, ideally I agree, if we all had access to all games on a single place it would be better for us.

So for the same reasons that, according to you, Nintendo should go 3rd party for all of a sudden aren't appliable to Sony even though it's the exact same thing?

I'm sure there's no bias here at all.

I think its a good idea. I think Microsoft and Nintendo should too, but I would still like for each company to have some exclusives but I think they could easily help each other game-wise.

Microsoft already does.

Windows 10 and their "store" and you can basically play any Xbox One game.

This thread OP must think Xbox One is a stupid console, right? Since its games are playable on PC.

I'm pretty sure it's a response to BraLoD's thread.

Yup, but that thread is quite old for this to pop now, lol.

Agree. Unfortunately this could end as a thread with few responses as there's no way to rebutt the OP.

So you're saying that the PC would be the only place to play games? I say that because Xbox One already shares over 90% of it's library with them. Woop, I forgot Nintendo. So only Nintendo and PC?

Oh and we already know anything (hardware wise) is inferior to the PC.

Exactly. It's a win situation for everyone. The people who like nintendo hardware can keep buying nintendo consoles and the people who hate it and rather have better hardware can opt for the PC.

Not when you are the king of the sales

I mean, I can't really argue those points but with Sony destroying the competition up until now (Switch may change that) why would they even consider that? They are still the leaders in the home console market. Also joke threads are jokey.

Lots of PC gamers have this mindset.

Just buy a PS4 or don't. Sony's business model is to have the larger userbase to accrue more money-related big sellers like CoD. A key component of that business model are exclusives.
