Wow can't beleive how close the PS4 is to the Switch for week 2! The Switch supply must have been super tight! Still amazing for the PS4 to be this close to it! |
Even in low stock switch win ? LoL

Switch got adjusted down and it is now second. It was just a short flight near the sun, it seems. Shame, young Icarus.
Need to wait for the stock situation to improve, but I think it'll be an uphill battle for the Switch till the holidays.

Oh they'll certainly be higher then they would be otherwise without it, though if Mario Kart didn't release sales would be completely dead. It'll carry it for a few weeks, it'll have a higher baseline, but sales won't be "high" in May, I don't think Arms is going to move systems either. Splatoon 2 may reignite strong sales but otherwise I think we're waiting till the holiday season for the Switch's high demand to flare up again.
I could be underestimating Mario Kart though, it's impact may be bigger and last longer then I think.
I predict switch starts dropping off soon
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk
really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...
Awesome that the PS4 is still number 1 in the weekly charts. Shows how much of a beast it really is.

Well it probably did help to hold PS4's hardware numbers around 250k. With this rate the PS4 sells a million a month outside of the holiday season. Which by itself I'd pretty amazing. If it manages to sell 8 million by the time august ends it's going to be another great year for PS4.

Starting with Destiny 2 in September until the end of the year PS4 needs to have 4 Record breaking months otherwise i think it will be down overall from last year. But lets see.

I think it will be pretty much on par with last year maybe a million less. It does get a new GT this year so that will help in Europe and if Sony plays her cards right a new Uncharted game. Those are some heavy hitters. Also summer releases like Crash and Wipeout might inspire some old school PS fans to buy the console.
