I did put Metal Gear Solid(MGS lol) and how could I forget Tomb Raider! I am a slacker!

And Legend of Dragoon is just some silly game that Sony let float away and has been remaking since the PS1 era lol!

Ah, I should have noticed MGS

Oh well, was still able to contribute Tomb Raider to the list

And yeah, Legend of Dragoon does sound like a silly game. I bet it even has some silly really hardcore fans of it too.

Dude I just remember Bloody Roar, Star Ocean, Syphon Filter, Tenchu, Grandia, Soul Blade, Rival Schools, Dark Stalkers 3, Lunar Silver Story Complete, Ridge Racer, Wipeout, Twisted Metal on top of Saga Frontier 1 an 2, Legend of mana, Legend of Legaia.......yeah the PS1 library ws freaking amazing....Now I want to go back and play some of these games lol

WTF is Legend of Dragoon though? Sounds bad

There's also Dino Crisis, King's Field, CastleVania, Strider 2, etc. The list goes on and on.

How could I forget Dino Crisis....man the Ps1 was an absolute MONSTER when it came to games!

Since nobody has mentioned it yet I'm just gonna add Future Cop LAPD too!

Doesn't seem to be talked about much, but that game was loads of fun, especially in 2 player!

Me and my  brothers loved that game!

Looks like you got utterly defeated here, hence this deflection. You honestly believed that Sony revolutionized something with dual analog sticks when that functionality was already present in N64 games, hence you ignored that part altogether.

More like you backing yourself into a corner with buttons and "more of the same", which you are now trying to deflect by ignoring.  You made a hypocritical statement and you got called out for it, now you're pretending it didn't happen.  You've been making a lot of missteps lately.  Maybe you're trying too hard?

I mean, what about my questions?  Maybe you missed them, so I'll repost:  "So placement is the key difference between evolution and revolution?  Or is it shape?  So if the right analog stick was on a different area of the controller or it was shaped differently, then it would be revolutionary."

As for the c-controls, isn't it obvious that the button approach ("more of the same") wasn't the answer?  I mean, what is the Switch using?

Meanwhile, buttons appearing on a different part of the controller is something much more meaningful?

You guys keep leaving out Gran Turismo, which was one of the first non-RPGs to blow me away.  It probably also helped Sony in Europe (I'm guessing).

You are correct how in the heck did I leave out one of the biggest IPs Sony owns.....

Yes, shoulder buttons vs. no shoulder buttons is much more meaningful than C-buttons vs. second stick.

You have yet to explain how a second stick was revolutionary.

First-Person games, left stick to move, right stick to look, in a way much more precise than previously possible on consoles (obviously PC had mouselook).

There isn't any increase in precision compared to C-buttons to move and stick to look. Since you've already mentioned the PC, the common setup is WASD to move and mouse to look. Movement doesn't need to be analog.

You're seriously telling me that 4 button movement is anywhere near to being as precise as an analog stick?

If so, then why isn't Nintendo (and everyone else) still using it?
