6 is okay or average. 5 and under is for games that are really buggy or some aspect(s) are just bad. 7 and higher is for games that are truly good or that are impressive in some ways. Honestly, I think reviewers are too nice to buggy games and I think that they don't give enough bad ratings to games that deserve it in spite of how well regarded the game series is.

Comparing it to a middle school grading system right now - A 5/10 would barely be a "positive mark" so to speak.
The class average is most certainly higher, a 7/10 seems like a good bet to me.

If we go by the grading scale (at least in america) a 5/10 would be a F and a 7 would be like a c- (c range is "average") so yeah. seems like a good bet to me too :P

Wanted to say 80 but ive been playing this game recently http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/bulletstorm-full-clip-edition and its pretty fun so i changed it to a 78.

7 is decent and above average

under 5 is just a bad game
