What age are you?
What age do you perceive Nintendos audience to be?

I think everyone was pleasantly surprised with the new ND format and the amount of info shared,
specially when first guesses were an ARMS/Splatoon2 ND.

I'm drifting away from Nintendo's target audience. There was nothing for me there.

No interest in the 3DS part, but Monopoly was the only Switch surprise that was interesting. That one goes with my other maybe titles I have such as SonicMania, PuyopuyoTetris, Splatoon2, WonderBoy, Kingdom, Rime, etc.

Why is this relevant?

I thought it was decent, I gave it 7. Good to see no signs of panic as with the early 2013 Direct for Wii U. The vast majority of content will be out by September, and the only late year announcements were for 3DS and third party products, which means E3 will give Switch's end of year line up a good showcase.

I was impressed with the quick-fire announcements for 3DS, particularly pleased to know Miitomo and Monster Hunter Stories are coming West, and glad that Pikmin and Ever Oasis will be out in June/July.

I don't own a Switch yet, but I am glad to see the amount of content gradually diversifying. Good that Arms and Splatoon will be out by July, but I'd prefer a breakdown of the different modes/content in each game rather than an in-depth analysis of one or two aspects. Nintendo aren't helping the impression that Arms isn't very substantial, and that Splatoon 2 is a rehash rather than a 'true' sequel. Personally I think both games look very stylish and will definitely grab Splatoon 2 when I do get a Switch.

All in all, pretty good. 3DS continuing to tick along, with localisations helping to fill out the release schedule. Switch shaping up as I expected this year, with Nintendo leading the charge and indies/download titles doing a lot to plug the gaps. One final negative is no word on Virtual Console.

Sets the stage for a big E3. Hopefully for Switch's sake, Pokemon Stars and Smash Bros Switch are both real, and join Fire Emblem Warriors, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Super Mario Odyssey in the September to December release window.

I have to give it a 10 because of the Koizumi factor, and because of all of the game announcements that I just was not expecting! Koizumi is a great personality for the directs, he's goofy and he has a great presence when he is presenting things. Also, I was not expecting all of the new Splatoon stuff, there is a lot more to the game than I expected and the new Salmon Run mode looks really fun! As a Switch owner I see a lot to look forward to!

No new games? Did we watch the same Direct? :P

There were 6 new games announced for the Switch and another 5 neogeo games. Then there were a few new 3DS games as well.

This was definately a better direct than i expected.. want to give it.. 8.5. Loved the format.

I really liked the 3DS part, so an 8 seems about right. The Pikmin game looks interesting, there's more Kirby goodness coming, I got the localizations I wanted with Monster Hunter Stories and Miitopia, and for some reason when it was first announced I thought that Ever Oasis was going to be digital-only, so seeing the box art was a nice surprise. Plus, Japan got release dates for Lady Layton and The Snack World, games that I hope will come to the west at some point (already lost all hope for The Great Ace Attorney)

I was interested only in Switch, they were some new announcements but no any bigger 1st part or exclusive game, but like I wrote, that was expected because we are only 2 months away from E3 and any bigger announcements are saved for E3.
