I plugged in the WiiU again yesterday after a long hiatus. A group of friends came over and we jammed out Super Smash bros and Nintendoland. It was the most fun I'd had in ages! 

It got me thinking, what games do we playstation fans have that offer this level of fun in terms of local multiplayer party games?

Jackbox Party Pack 2 is great for this purpose, Trivial Pursuit Live is actually a good game too in the absence of Buzz.

But we could do with a good Kart Racer and a reboot of Buzz.

I know right I miss Buzz so much!

No thanks. I play alot of single player games and some online games with multiplayer. I don't like any games that are for group or party play. I don't care if there's more third party games that cater towards folks that like those games but I hope that type of game is never the focus of sony. That's more in line with what nintendo does.

It's tough. PS supports a lot of great single player experiences but it comes up short in accessible local multiplayer experiences. Whenever I have friends over I boot up WiiU for Mario Kart, Smash, Runbow, Nintendo Land, etc. PS has some cool games like Helldivers, Trine, and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, but nothing that matches the 4-8 player local mayhem of Nintendo's best offerings.

You're probably just safer relying on Nintendo Platforms for party games. It doesn't seem to have as big of presence elsewhere.

Towerfall, Helldivers, Sportsfriends, Jackbox Party Pack, Nidhogg, Mercenary Kings, Broforce, Rayman Legends, Rocket League, LittleBigPlanet 3, Spelunky.

PASBR2 needs to happen

I have all those games aside from Jackbox Party. Most of them I didn't find fun as Party games aside from Rocket League and Sportsfriends. 

I know right!, I'm one of those few people that enjoyed All Stars more than Smash.
