My usual gaming sessions last between 2-3 hours. However, I will do short bursts of 30 minutes playing CS:S while my wife is making dinner on some nights though.

As for my longest gaming session, it would have to be around 40+ hours at a LAN party when I was younger.

My most recent long gaming session was about 10 hours while playing through LUNAR 2 : Eternal Blue, a good JRPG can get me hooked very easily. I just recently completed it with ~52 hours of playtime and doing it in only a month, during a very busy month for me, I am surprised I completed it in such short time. For anyone that wants to know, Lunar 2 is an absolutely wonderful game. I think it might even take second place to the Original NES Final Fantasy for my all time favorite RPG games and if you know me or have seen many of my posts you'd know that this says a lot.

2 hours a day on average. Single sessions are between 30 minutes or maybe 4 hours (30 minutes something like Rocket League, 4 hours something like Civilization or Fallout)

My average is close to 0 because I rarely play any games. But if I do, sessions can last up to 10 hours. So I managed to put over 100 hours into Botw and both Xenoblade games after release. But there was next to nothing in between besides small portions of retro gaming.

3 hours. Longest I've played is 9 hours.

If it's a new release, I tend to spend way more time per session. Like 3-4 hours sometimes. But if it's a backlog game, I usually only spend max 2 hours at a time.

An hour or so on average

but can be longer when I'm not time constrained

Typically, up to 2 hours. Like several others above though, Breath of the Wild threw a wrench in that. I've done a few 4+ hour sessions, even if I feel like raw crap afterwards.

Before BOTW: an hour or two perhaps 2 times per week (many weeks where I wouldn't game at all and just watch TV

After BOTW: 6+ hours every night that i can after work

Longest .... probably close to a day on a few occasions when I was in my early 20's

How long do you typically play in a single day? What's the longest you've ever played?

would you look at that, about 2/3 of people play games for less than 3 hours a day!!!!!! And since this is a gaming forum, where people tend to be more of enthusiasts, its highly likely that people on this site play more than the average gamer so for most people its probably like 1-2 hours a day.
