If you don't think being a hybrid console is a gimmick, then I'm sorry but I just don't know what's going on in your mind.

You really think being a hybrid is a useless feature?

I never said gimmicks were useless. Rumble was a gimmick that became industry standard.

When it comes to this stuff, I don't bother reading too much into what Goodnightmoon has to say. He'd rather move goalposts than admit something seemingly negative about his brand of choice. Case in point, trying to change the definition of gimmick to fit a context he has in his head.

its not in his head though, the vast majority of people on this site (such as the OP) do not use the word correctly. To them gimmick essentially means, "something new that i dont like".

don't you have to use them on the controller or separated?  I mean I'm not carrying around a separate controller to use with a tablet screen

Buy one for every room in your house and paracord one to your bag You are mother fucking Iron Man.

at that point I may as well hook one up to an arc reactor and have it fly around on a repulsor platform with me.  But then I'd push Nintendo out of the hardware market and I wouldn't be able to make snarky remarks about their next attempt at innovation.

na, ain't nobody got money for that shit, it'd be cool if you can fit it into a wrist watch and pop it out on demand though.

that is such a dumb statement, how many hours do you think the average person plays in a day? its not 3 hours and it sure as hell isnt 3 hours in a single sitting, let alone while being away from a power source.

Outside of a small group of people who like to complain on this internet, a 3-5 hour battery life is fine.

Anybody that legit plays a game for 3 hours and then puts it down either has an extremely hectic life, or just doesn't like video games that much. I play 4 hours minimum. 8 hours on a day off. I average 35-40 hours a week. I ride a bike 7 miles to work, and go to the gym 5 days a week, so it isn't like I'm just sitting around all day munching Doritos and chugging Mountian Dew while gaming.

Holy shit, dude! I play for one or two hours a say if at all, and up to 4 hours on days off. That's how I played through the WItcher 3, and I freaking loved that game! 3hrs a day! I can't imagine how you find the time.

Ya man i dont get it, i dont see how anyone can physically get in 4-8 hours of gaming on a daily basis.

Work/school & sleeping alone should be around 16 hours. Add in the smaller things in the day that add up like cooking/eating, daily commute, bathing/grooming, errands/general household tasks, etc. And thats not factoring in people who are in a relationship or have a family or other hobbies.

Like literally every second of free time would be dedicated to gaming. The only way i see it being possible to do that on a daily basis would be if you're single with no responsibilities, no social life and no other hobbies.

I game for about an hour a day. Between work, sleep, my social life, other leisure activities, and just daily things like shopping and cooking, an hour's about all I can spare. These days, I actually dislike playing more than two hours at a time, it gives me that same yucky unhealthy feeling I get when I eat too much junk food.
