Forums - Gaming - NieR: Automata shipments and digital sales top one million !

Total shipments and digital sales for NieR: Automata have exceeded one million units, Square Enix announced.

The action RPG launched for PlayStation 4 in Japan on February 23, in North America on March 7, in Europe on March 10, and for PC worldwide on March 17.

This was already expected, but it's a massive win for Yoko Taro as it's his best selling game already.
It is close to outselling the whole Drakengard franchise, according to VGC numbers.

According to Steamspy, the PC version sold 220K copies on Steam. Impressive numbers for both the PS4 and PC versions.

This is a massive win for Platinum. They really needed it, and derved it!Its a win for Square too, of course.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Good news. It's nice to see the overall resurgence of interest in Japanese games this gen has brought. Also, I hope Phil Fish rots in hell.

Hmm, I wonder why this one is more popular then the first game...

I'll add to the number once Platinum throw a few patches onto the Steam version.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Congrats! Well deserved!
