I think we might get a twitter comment or similar if Horizon gets past 5m at some point this year

i don't think we get software shipment numbers from Sony as default, do we? I don't remember discussing it before

Do we have horizon official numbers outside of 2.6mil sellthru fi rst. 2 weeks?

Was thinking of tracking both hdz/botw for each region to get an idea of what each are selling. All i know is

200k+ in germany (month of march)
200k+ UK and great legs compared to every other title
200k Japan (just hit now retail only)

It sold 42k in 2 weeks in France.

Damn, PS4 kicking ass. If this holds true for all retailers, PS4 may indeed take April. Either way, looks to be a big gap between it and the XBO.

Switch is still holding up strong. Anyway, does anyone know life to date sales on ps4 and xb1 in US and the current gap?

The Switch has been in front of the PS4 for the most of the month though. And even if it is just a couple of days, MK 8D will give it a nice boost, since Nintendo will probably reallocate alot of supply to meet the demand of that games launch. But yeah, it will be a close month.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

And on Amazon Switch has only been available for 360 or 380 this whole month while PS4 has been discounted 45 to 50.  So I would say Switch demand is pretty dang strong and it's purely a question of Switch stock.  If there's enough, it will win.

Well, yeah.I was more talking about with the current scenario we have, one that the supply dont meet the demand.Even in this, I think Switch can still win.And as you said, this speaks volumes about the Switch

Might want to look at the monthly chart.  The Switch is #8 and the PS4 is #9.  Considering they have been switching back and forth in the hourlies, I would say the sales of their top SKU is pretty damn close.  Now, if you look at the rest of the list, the Switch does have a 2nd SKU in the Top 100, but it's only at #73.

Let's look at the Hourlies, now.  The Switch and PS4 remain in the Top 20.  But, the situation looks much different for the secondary SKUs.  Now that the Pro is in stock, it has been doing pretty good.  It currently sits at #59.  The next SKU is another PS4 at #63.  The secondary Switch SKU is at #75.  The PS4 also has the COD bundle, now, which sits at #95.  If things continue like this, those secondary PS4 SKUs are going to start rising in the monthly charts, passing the secondary Switch SKU.  So, all PS4 SKUs will beat the two Switch ones.

You are right that MK8 may change things, so we'll have to see how that plays out.  Though, do we know if April NPD actually covers the 28th-30th?  I know they aren't exactly lined up with the beginning and end of every month.
