The point i was making is there will be stuff in the Scorpio that will be new tech as the OP suggested. Logically, that tech side it is new will cost more than the old tech. The older tech in the Scorpio, there is more off / better revision of, which again could drive up cost. 

 

I don't think MS or Sony are wanting to make a loss and I don't think they will want to take a hit on a mid gen update and then again in a few years with a next gen Xbox. 

 

If the current most premium Xbox, 1S 2TB model is between £300-400 in the UK, I find it hard to believe that an even more premium with double the specs of a PS4P, latest AMD tech and a UHD player will cost the same or less than its 1 year old premium product, or the 1yr old rival with half the tech. 

 

Unless you saying MS are willing to take a $50-100 loss on each Scorpio sold. 

If PS4 Pro is $399, the scorpio will be 399 as well.

I was going to say not long to go, then I remembered they won't be giving the price tomorrow -_-

1. The RoD of the X360

2.The ms press conference at the e3 in 2013

Sony first party is another reason, along with epic third party exclusives like nier, NIOH, and persona to say the least....

And pls look at the exclusive games communitys where you find 3 million people in forza and another 3 million in halo, theese guys playing this games for years until the next game is revealed so this is nothing the same like the japano ps exclusives which are niche games in europe and most other countries

i fixed it!

So this is the list between ps4 Japano exclusives and western Xbox exclusives, the bigger difference is that all these xbox games which have a multiplayer are having online communitys who are playing the games for years and try to get better in them , and yes some of the games you are listed are niche games like State of decay 2, rare replay, Kinect sports rivals or project spark are all niche games like nioh, bloodborne or persona 5.

If you are quoting vgc the numbers are missing a lot of data for recent PS4 games....


NIOH and nier are past a million sold, and are still selling.....

And sorry unchartedis bigger than any Xbox exclusive, and horizon is likely getting near that level

Well most of the niche titles on that's list aren't close to come Xbone games, but either way... you're saying those titles are kind of close to the lower selling games on a platform with half the install base as PS4... that's a pretty clear cut example of niche.
