Another Horizon thread became a Zelda thread.... just great.

Despite owning Horizon for few weeks I've only recently began playing it and it's amazing so far.

But I'm fairly early in the game.

To be honest OP sabotaged his own thread the moment he mentioned zelda. To some people its like one insult what he said in OP, god forbid to compare something to the god of all game IPs, the Almighty Zelda.

And on the other side of that same coin, there are people who seem to take offense at reviewers providing perfect 10/10 scores. CGW, you may be familiar with this person:

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8322063

All the while providing perfect scores to games in his collection. Among them, Snake Eater:

And not hesitating to list 10/10 games in a 10/10 games thread ( http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=226558&page=1#54 ) only four or so days later:

What say you Wizzz?

Probably would have been one of my goats if I liked the main character. But still top tier game.

I have it. It's great, but the combat isn't in the same stratosphere as Horizons. I actually don't find the controls overall to be nearly as intuitive.

I think you are being hyperbolic, BoTW combat not only feels great but also allows for many creative approaches to combat and it has a degree of strategy an a huge attention to detail.

Also it can be really epic

I didn't say it was bad, but I think it's only okay. It's just the slightest bit clunky and a lot slower than HZD.

Mind you, I'm not saying that overall BOTW is worse than HZD. They're different and do different things well. But, in my opinion, the combat is HZD is leaps and bounds better than it is in Zelda.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I dont know if i should feel honoured or creeped out by this, i mean, print screen a couple of my posts, put them on a image host site and search like 6 pages of my game collection on my profile that i rated without thinking too much 7 years ago is something, do you have a vendetta file on your computer about every user that scarred for life with comments on a gaming forum or its just me?

There are days when I feel investigative journalism would have been my kind of profession. As a matter of fact, one of my role models is journalist Peter Hadfield who runs the youtube channel potholer54. Excellent youtube channel, you should check it out if the opportunity comes up.

Also, no. There is no vendetta or anything. It's just that your expletive-filled post that condemned perfect scores was one that caught my eye so I proceeded to do some digging of my own.

Yes i have a problem with 100/100 scores when everyone knows game have serious problems. Zelda for example had serious framerate problems, gamespot a proffesional gaming site didnt even mentioned them and gave it 10/10, ign said there was and rated 100/100, it was perfect, now they patched the framerate the game now rates what for them ? 120 / 100 ? Or its just a little bit more perfect now that was before. yea that.

About the games i said are 10 / 10 , they are my favourite games of all time, games that i played and at the time nothing prevented me from enjoying them like tech problems, games that i cant say negative stuff about them, games that push themes that i love. If you ask me if they are perfect no they are not, but are the ones i enjoyed the most, do i review games as a profession? Do i write for a big site that millions will see? Last time i checked no , no one pays me.

So because they get paid to share their opinion, they can't feel similarly fond of the games they play and express it accordingly?

But what does this have to do with the thread ? And who are you, this was probably the first post i remember from you and thats cause you quoted me but from the looks of it, you seem to be kinda obssesed with me, i left one hoje impression on you, reminds me of one girl in schools that was in love by me but never said it to me and then when someone after like years said she was a cruch on me i was like "What? who ?", this is like that but in a creepy way.

The name is KLAMarine. It's nice to meet you and no, there is no obsession anywhere. I just love a good, hearty, productive, and civil chat.

Depends really. I always turn off the internet on my PS4 because I love that feeling of taking the game out of the box and playing it imediatly. I hate day one patches. I played Horizon for 19h before I turned the internet on again and did the patches.

So my trophies and everything only appeared after that =)

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Just finished Horizon. Once I got the armor with the shield I enjoyed myself a whole lot more. In fact, started trophy hunting just so that I didn't finish the game right away. Loved the final mission, as well. Aloy's probably my second favorite lead female protagonist, behind Nariko (Heavenly Sword), but she could pass it in sequels. Anyway, lots of fun.

On to Nier Automata.

Owner of PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Switch, PS Vita, and 3DS

I've got too many games to playthrough at the moment. Il get it later on

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

I think just in the same way that someone that enjoys Halo may enjoy Metroid Prime, however they are so vastly different you can perfectly love one and hate the other.

They could but both these games are so good they'll probably like both.  Obviously there's exceptions.  People might not like horizons more realistic game design or in the opposite way they might not like Zelda's cartoon style.

By "more realistic game design" you are referring to graphics right? Because game design wise botw is far more diverse and realistic than Hzd. Take a look at this video for example :

Or this one

HZD is just stale in comparison

Think for yourself, question authority

I finished Zelda last night, won't be long until I'm back in Horizon. Not sure if I should start over from scratch or continue where I was. It's been a month and I was only 3 days in, might as well restart to relearn the controls.

I took the day off today to play it, a day off was long overdue since I never take vacations, but, boy oh boy, this shows how much I am into it. Horizon is one of these games I get afraid of finishing it, I just do not want it to end.

It is getting an expansion so it is not the end for Horizon this gen once you beated it. Besides you can always turn the difficulty to its toughest mode. I suggest you do that anyway, fight with big machines are much better that way. It will also take longer to finish it since Horizon isn't a small game. Even bigger if you are a collectathon.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
