Had to look up who or what Tencent was, never heard of them... apparently the biggest gaming company in the world yet I don't know a single game by them lol

Oh I see they minor in games, but they are huge in the technology department. This is odd you would think Apple would make the list then, they've developed games.

They are huge in China and also own the majority of Riot Games (League of Legends) and Supercell (Clash of Clans, Clash Royale and so on...)

Funnily enough, you referenced their breadwinner with the very last thing you said in your sentence :p

... Do these guys own Riot Games then? I assume you mean League of Legends

Correctamundo, and with something like a 60mil+ userbase they make bank just from that 1 game

Tencent owns everything, or eventually will. Resistance is futile.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

NNID: Slarvax - Steam: Slarvax - Friend Code:  SW 7885-0552-5988

What is this based on? Profit?

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Does this list factor in overall revenue from companies or just revenue based off of actual video game sales/console sales? Does Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft's revenues all also include the royalties they make from third-party games?

Definitely not overall revenue, otherwise Microsoft would be running away with it. Doesn't actually include hardware sales either, so Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo all should really be higher than they are on the list. Says it includes "all non-hardware platform revenues" for PS/Xbox, so should include their royalties as well as PS+/XBL Gold revenue.

But not so for Nintendo? This list is quite odd.
