Forums - Nintendo - Sam & Max Confirmed for Wii

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6188738.html

Telltale Games is hoping to stoke the Sam and Max resurgence even further. Today, the developer confirmed for GameSpot long-standing rumors that it would be bringing its episodic series to consoles, and specifically to the Nintendo Wii.

<SNIP>

Telltale representatives said the game’s release on the Wii is due in large part to fan demand, in particular an e-mail campaign launched prior to the debut of the Sam & Max episodic series on the PC. Rumors and speculation of a Wii port helped spark publisher interest in bringing the series to Nintendo’s platform.

Oh I am so very very happy right now....

It's me...  no really, it IS me!!!

Holy crap, support Wii third party, etc.

I heard of this game before, it sounded fun , Maybe I'll try it on the wii if it turns out good on the wii

very good news for Wii-only gamers. I already have the PC version and it's so much better than Zack & Wiki.

Too bad the Wii version will probably be more expensive than the PC one.

So awesome.

I'd pee my pants if I wore any

This just moved to the top of my *must buy* list, even though I've already got the PC version, all of the books (including the original "Surfin' the Highway"). Why? I love giving Telltale money for bringing back my favorite comic duo. :) Sam and Max are awesome and totally belong on the Wii, can't wait!

Thank the lord. Some real third party support on the way. I've been meaning to get into Sam & Max and now I won't have to do any PC upgrades for it. Great to see the Wii getting some developers' time.

Who actually plays these games? I am not trying to dog the Wii, just this franchise. People seem to rave about them but I have never even met another person who has heard of, let alone played, the video game installments of these. I remember the Saturday morning cartoon show, but that is it.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Whoah! For me, this is the most exciting third-party Wii announcement so far. Hands down.

Sweet, Sam and max FTW. Definitely a cult game if there ever was one. I had the original "hit the road" when I was a kid, and loved them ever since. It won't sell very well, but hopefully it will get Sam and Max a little bit of fame that they deserve. Sheer brilliance.
