Well games get added to ps now once they are old. It's like saying there is no point in going to the cinema because Netflix exists.

There's no point in Netflix because free-TV exists.

Guess there is no point in PS Now then because free games exist too :P

Not a waste of money, but PSNow is the future!

I'm really eager to see how the next generation will be....Gaming As A Service?

Available on the crappiest PCs? I don't think so. I'm using Remote Play a lot and it doesn't run decent on anything below i5. I have a tablet with a Pentium and it works there, but not at 1080/60p. More like 720/30p. I don't know what Remote Play needs the processing power for, but I'm guessing there is some serious encoding/decoding going on or something. And I'm pretty sure PS Now uses the same technology. So I wouldn't try playing that on a crappy PC unless you like lag and stutter.

PS Now used to run on TVs, no console or PC required.

TVs with the same SoCs found in High-End mobile devices, yes. Not just any TV.

This generation is already moving towards gaming as a service. But yeah, I agree that this transition won't finish until next generation. Kinda sad that I think that next generation consoles will be all digital

Not yet.

Is there a rotation? I thought once games qare available they are there permanently.

Oh, maybe so. I figured every now and then a game or series might get pulled, a la Netflix. I'll defer to others for the definitive answer.

I think they mprobably would cull the odd game especially if it's hardly ever played, but I don't think they have a routine rotation like the Xbox service where they have a cap of 100(?) games and they regularly rotate games in and out.

You know what is really a waste of money? Having your entire game collection behind a monthly paywall.

That is a really good point as well.

I see it as an  additional service option  rather than a replacement.

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

Maybe sometime down the road it will be but in its current form, no.

Right now its just a PS3 emulator, once it adds PS1, PS2, PSP, Vita & PS4 games without technical issues than it will be a very enticing service.
