Forums - Nintendo - Zelda Has Taken Over My Life (Such As It Was)

This is what I struggle to fight against on a daily basis. BotW has taken a lot of my game time, forcing me to shelve other games I was playing (except Fire Emblem Heroes, haha). I save Zelda until my day is done, but it floats around in my head all day, calling out to me to play it. T_T It's so hard to fight it...

Bless your Soul,Taken over by a game is one reason why Australian officials ban some games .

BotW has been the first time in my life where I can relate to Principal Skinner.

Let's just say that since I started playing 2 weeks ago, I usually play for 5-7 hours per playtime. Other games that I'm interested in playing or completing are put to the side for this incredible game. It reminded me of my continuous playtime of Super Smash Bros. Melee, and I was mostly playing alone and with items on. Fire Emblem Awakening, Mario Galaxy, and Mass Effect 2 were also games akin to how absorbed I was in investing countless hours on.There's always this one thing I want to do before taking a break and even though I'm aware of the time, I have a hard time putting this game down. You can experiment and explore in a variety of ways.

You are not the only person obsessed with Zelda.

The Gerudo hate voe and that's still not enough for them.

Isn't the story that it was Link who needed rescuing while Zelda has been fighting Ganon alone for the past 100 years?

They just act like they know a lot about games when in reality she's just trying to get a big, fat paycheck.

I honestly don't know who's worse- conservative conspiracy theorists like Alex Jones or ultra left wing groups like feminist frequency

I've played 50+ hours...Just found out that you can buy your own house...

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

I wish I could, but am busy..

Haven't been fully absorbed yet, but that's because I'm not far in D:

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

According to my profile I have played over 90 hours now since launch, avg 6.5 hrs a day. How is that even possible. (I'm so very tired) And if I'm not playing myself I'm watching or helping my kids through the game. If not that then I'm posting or checking threads about the game. So yeah, it has taken over my life pretty much.

It looks like I might need another 90 hours to complete it at my current pace. I only unlocked the rest of the Shia slate yesterday, ie the second quest. About halfway done exploring, haven't started hunting memories yet.

I've played the game for like 45 hours, I'm now JUST starting to explore the whole desert area. The sheer scope continues to baffle me. You can easily get swept away in the epic nature of it..

33 years as a gamer and I have not played a better game than Breath of the wild. The only drawback is that all open world games I play from now on will be judged against this benchmark. I really hope Xenoblade 2 pushes it close.
