You are not the only person obsessed with Zelda.

The Gerudo hate voe and that's still not enough for them.

Isn't the story that it was Link who needed rescuing while Zelda has been fighting Ganon alone for the past 100 years?

Same. It's probably my favourite Zelda game, which my favourite franchise of all time. So, yeah, BOTW is my GOAT right now. I've played around 80 hours and I still have a lot of stuff to do, like finding the last 30 shrines that I lack. I'm giving it a pause though to beat Blaster Master Zero, a game I'm really digging and Specter of Torment. But after I beat those another Hyrule exploration is mandatory XD.

Which bothers me about BOTW, which is not a game's fault at all, is that playing other open world titles feel now.... very restrained. I'm beating Horizon on my PS4, and even if I think it's a great game, the fact that I can't climb/go wherever I want, whenever I want is... bad. Man, I wish every open world title takes more inspiration on BOTW.

OK, I'm convinced we're the same person. Blaster Master Zero is awesome! I'm sure you'll love it. And Zelda is my favorite everything :)

Yeah, I'm loving Blaster Master. Never heard of it, but I don't regret the purchase a bit. I was a bit worried about length, because I heard that it takes around 3 hours. But I'm 7 hours in and I haven't reached the final boss. Sophia is fully upgraded to take down that bastard XD. I'm glad that you're enjoying BOTW, I think it's breathtakingly brilliant. I wonder what Nintendo can do to improve this XD.

Yep, I think that Zelda is the heroine of the game. I mean, she was fighting Ganon alone for the last 100 years. It couldn't get more badass than that XD.

Yeah I think it took me a little over 8 hours. I searched for all the power-ups and secrets :)

A new Zelda game is always an event for me, but I'm not sure I've ever been so bewitched by a Zelda title, or any other title for that matter.

I woke up early twice this week to play before work, and then logged another three hours each evening. I think I have 14 hours played between Monday and today.

Any WiiU or Switch owners feeling the same? For non-Zelda fans, what games stole you away to another world and refused to let go?

Same here.  I've been playing Zelda much later into the night on work nights than I should.  I am truly enthralled by it, and not just because it is Zelda.  Wind Waker, Twilight Princess & Skyward Sword did not hook me into constantly playing the way Breath of the Wild has.

Funny how the game doesn't even focus on her clothing. She's a badass, and yet they're putting misogyny where it shouldn't be.

How about that complain about link being shirtless? With their logic, it is misrepresenting poor, innocent men.

It's pretty funny. FemFreq only wants Zelda to be playable. She doesn't care that this Zelda has been, for over 100 years, defending Hyrule from Ganon by keeping him in Hyrulce Castle (there's a lot more about this Zelda, but spoilers). She doesn't care that Zelda took a major portion of the story and progression of OoT because she disguised as Shiek to help Link, and by taking action when instead she was meant to be hiding. She doesn't care that Tetra is a badass, independent pirate that doesn't let anyone, even her crew members, get away with anything.

She only cares about a playable character.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Meanwhile Link spends his days doing the cooking, picking flowers and wearing pretty jewellery.

Zelda is a great game. 15/10.

If I'm going to be completely objective though, it's maybe not the best for representation of women. If that's your thing.

It's not the worst though either. Pretty par for the course. If your pet cause is better representation of women in video games though, I can see how you'd speak up about it.

This is exactly how I feel about this game. Sometimes I wake up early in the morning just to play and I sneak out at work to play some more. It's really something.

Yup, my main strategy now is to:
1. Activate all towers
2. Clear most shrines
3. Get the master sword

Only then will I turn my focus to the 4 beasts :).
