That's a lot of copies. Well deserved, it's by far the best Ubi clone game I have played in years. Maybe since Mordor. Could not even finish games like Mad Max, Far Cry 4, or Just Cause because the formula wore thin too fast. The lore and game world keep me coming back to Horizon though.

You just had to get that shot in calling it a "ubi clone" game Lmao

Im loving that Sony is making all this money from all this creative risk.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

If you see that as a shot then that's your problem Lmao

My post did nothing but praise the game. But it is extremely cut and paste of the open world tropes Ubisoft popularized. I honestly cannot think of anything it does that is it's own. But that's fine because like I said, it has elements in some areas much stronger than the typical Ubi clone.

Zero Dawn has no chance to beat it in lifetime sales nor attach rate. Hell, BOTW has already beaten Horizon's attach rate like a red headed step child.

why would attach rate matter at all?

Attach rate is the only way to directly compare the commercial popularity of two titles that don't share the same install bases.

So if BOTW sells 10m copies and switch sells 100m and horizon sells 8m copies while ps4 sells 80m does that mean the two titles are equally popular?

Hopefully this examples will demonstrate to you how ridiculuous comparing attach rates is.

Do you know how silly this sounds?

1. switch was just release recently. Zelda's sales will depend on the overall switch sold currently on the Market hence the strong attachment.
2. Zelda is one of the few titles new user can buy because of the limited tiltes that you can buy.
3. As  Switch continue to sell and with new games that will be available to it the attachement will decrease as times goes by.

Also, Do you think with 50M install base Horizon will have a huge attachment ratio? That is beyond silly and with the fact that there are hundred of games that you can choose from. Attachment doesn't matter at all when comparing the two.

Anyway, please stay on topic. The one you responded was already banned for that comment. We don't need a Zelda vs Horizon comparison here.

If you want to compare the 2. Create a new thread for it so we can have a debate with it.

OT: For the DLC.. Hopefully there will be a stream of it. Until HZD 2 will be release lol.

Yea, my brain was a little hurt when I read that.

Well done Guerrilla, thoroughly deserved. Easily my favourite game so far this gen and Aloy has quickly become one of my favourite video game characters. The thought of more has me giddy with anticipation.
