I do remember he was always full of praise of nintendo's innovations and the Gamecube was his favourite console at the time.
But that was deffenitely more in the past concidering what and how he plays he is deffenitely a Playstation guy right now.

But you are right he had Nintendo Roots, but so do I and personally the Wii- and Wii-U and also Switch are not consoles designed by the Nintendo I used to love, just like Colin I guess because the largest game collections I have are on Snes and Gamecube :)

Colin was the last guy i would consider for advice on games. The guy was full of so much bias opinions.
First IGN got rid of him, and now he leaves Kinda Funny, im sure theres more to it than him tweeting its his choice. Like most professional buisnesses you dont want to carry a bad name for sacking someone.
Ill never forget his opinion on the 3DS flopping and that Vita is going to be the portable King.

Who's Colin and why is it funny that he's leaving?

Colin was actually the intellect behind kinda of funny, which is why Greg and Colin duo was so entertaining. Greg the goof ball with Colin mr serious, I think it's very unfortunate as Colin really had incredible knowledge of the industry. I think without him there will be too much goofiness and not enough insight.

Colin was definitely opinionated but he always had reasoning for his opinion and backed it up with reasoning. I think its very unfortunate that this is happening and unless kinda of funny can find someone who has the seriousness of Colin but also able to let loose it could be bad for the company.

I agree with you that that's what the Alt-Right (more like Alt-Left if they are true nazis), but the people involved in Gamergate were not part of the Alt-Right.
