Interesting... I wonder if this means I can play dem ps4 exclusives on my PC now...

Nope. lol Sony unlike Microsoft knows what is very important about a console. It's not just multiplatform games.

I'll quote + post on your wall too then if they do release some exclusives...

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Around the Network

Eventually most of gaming will be streamed, just like how Netflix took over the whole movie industry..... PC is going to become obsolete for the typical gamer and media lover.... as more and more people migrate from work pcs to tablets and portable devices.... pc gamers think they are so immune to everything, eventually the iPad/tablet is going to replace your pc because of the better, cheaper, and faster streaming options in the near future

mM

If this is the answer to what MS will offer soon, it's apparent which is the better option.

The network will never be as good as it is playing locally. It's a technical limitation that won't be overcome and if this is the gaming future, I will quit gaming.

yep we have been hearing that bullshit for 20 years. tablets and streaming services cannot overcome the laws of physics. There is nothign on current or on the horizon that is going to make this happen anytime in the foreseeable future, won't say never though as you never know what is around the corner. The only thing we do know is tablet and ipad sales have been declining at double digit rates the last few year and we have had many game streaming companies start up and die.

I really think Sony's investment into the game streaming tech was and is wasted money. It costs a lot of money to operate all the stuff, you have to be in several datacenters around the world which is also expensive (and a reason why the service is limited to selected countries currently) and it is immensely network related. Users will blame the service if performance is shit (on top of it being worse per se) but it could be their connection, their router, their switch, their isp, their relatives, almost everything. AND it could be the service, of course.
