Forums - Nintendo - UK Retailers Sell out of the Switch! Stock Level Concerns

I wonder how many times Nintendo can play this game before people just roll their eyes at it?

Ok want to explain? Last i checked they are selling out of their system everywhere. UK took more than its first week but its hard to find now.

Lets stop while we are at it. Sony isnt the only one that can say stock problems and be ok with it. Nintendo/MS/etc can be just as true. You see it in the amazon thread all the time.

The NES is doing great in your Amazon thread!

I can already see people going bonkers because "Nintendo won't ship new Switches before April!"
But that's just one single (maybe small) retailer. Obviously, Nintendo favours larger vendors in times of stock shortages.

The Wii got multiple shipments per month, can't see why it would be different now. Also, Nintendo promised to ship 2m by end of march and they didn't have them all ready at launch.

Some of the big games retailers have it listed as:

ShopTo -  24th March for next shipment to arrive

Amazon UK - Stock due 31st March

GAME - No confirmation of next stock delivery

Sites have been/are still taking pre-orders so this batch could very much be allocated to people who pre-ordered it and still end up with no shelf stock for another few weeks.

I guess the launch was good.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

What game are you referring to?

Hope Nintendo can keep them flowing. Seems like US chains got little to no stock over the past weekend.

Tesco is saying end of March too. 365games have decided to up the price by £50.

Yup, popular console usually have them on launch, Wii and PS4 also had them, Wii U for instance definitely not in UK.

" but if you haven't got a unit pre-ordered you might have a bit of trouble getting one, as retailers have said the new console is completely sold out."

"Nintendo ‘Sells Out’ All 40K Wii U Consoles In UK."

"According to MCV, the Wii U sold 40,000 units in the UK during the first 48 hours on the market, completely selling out at retailers."

So I was wrong about Wii U, but point is that most of consoles have stock issues on launch, In this case we know that Switch sold twice more than Wii U in 48 hours.
