Depends if you want a real new gen or only an artificial one which will be as strong to run every game in 4k but every game releasing only for it could be also on Scorpio and PS4 PRO just with lower resolution (1080p or 1440p) but they will release it only on the new PS5 just to push the sales.

I mean, I really don't believe that a PS5 in 2019/20 will be that different to PS4 PRO or Scorpio that the games couldn't run on the old models with a decent resolution for many people.

Powerful enough to shut the Pixel Police from constantly whining that a game is only 720 or not 4K and not running at 60fps.

Haha, it's a slang term that I seen used on another forum which basically means people that are constantly watching out for resolutions and frame rates of games as if it's the ultimatum of whether a game is worth playing or not.

I can manage 50-60fps, but if it spikes and goes back and forth between 34-61, then I'm gonna have a bad time, especially in those competitive type games.

20 terraflop is impossible , but it depend how the GPU will evolve, 1080ti is around 10 teraflop. The high end GPU will hit 20 tf mark on 2020 but not the mid end GPU it probably around 12 to 14. And consoles usually use mid end to low, with very low CPU/APU class. Remember tf is not the final measure of how powerful consoles is. But for sure graphic will be hard to distinguished in the future , and the improvement will be around how big the world is , and how the physics and the AI will comes into play.
