GTA 4 will be, because of popularity, not because it deserves it!!

but i guess the "generation game" will be beaten in sales by SSBB which is better....!!

so MAYBE SSBB gets the best award, of best selling 2008 game...

I think it's too early to start speculating about GOTY, but the hot favourite is easily GTA4.

My personal choice and darkhorse, LBP.

MGS4 doesn't stand a chance at GOTY, It's released way too early in the year AND it doesn't have the raw massive appeal of a GTA title (which is why GTA is still in the contest despite being released so early on). MGS4 will be overshadowed by R2 and Gears 2 if only because it'll be 5 months later by the time they roll around, MGS4 will be a distant memory.

I just hope it won't be GTA4, because it really doesn't deserve it.

GTA4, there's no question.

Any of the (F)PS hardcore games on the HD consoles. That's usually the case..

If MGS4 doesn't win it we'll know which websites are anti PS3.

I hope GTA4 doesn't win but I'm guessing it will.

I'm hope LBP or pixeljunk monsters takes it.

360 had the GOTY in 2006 with Gears of War.
Wii had the GOTY in 2007 with Super Mario Galaxy.
PS3 hopefully will have the GOTY in 2008 with MGS 4.

IMO: Only console exclusive games should be GOTY.
