Forums - Gaming - Are Troll reviews common?

Recently noticed that Metacritic is having a severe burst of negative fanscores for the Switch, most of them looking something like this.

Is this common for games, or is this just showing that the console wars are a thing still.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

The best one was " the game is good but it lacks something 0/10".

Yes but some people would have you believe that the troll reviews are real reviews instead of salty fanboys. Its always why I don't bother with user reviews.

Yes

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

It's a common thing for games, and likely for all entertainment media. Without a filtering system user scores are worse than useless for all games.

im not a troll and i gave a bad review to Botw 5/10 and 4 out of 9 found it helpful.

hehe. there should be a way to filter all the troll 1/10's just ignore those. those are usually filled with hate.

You know, I give credit to the ones that just hate Zelda as a series. But the ones who say they like it, but still give it a zero...those people just deserve a medal. A BS medal.

lol wow

Happens pretty much everytime a console exclusive game is released.
