there's literally a whole game that uses the tech and today Nintendo announced titles using the tech.

I can't wait to try this out and see what it's like. Always good to read/watch resources like this though, as an engineer, I find it pretty fascinating!

I'm curious too.  I'm just not sure I'm $50.00 1-2 Switch curious ....

Apparently I was CAD 73.44 curious, that's what I paid today for 1-2 switch, plus CAD 90.39 for Zelda and CAD 451.99 for the console. It better be worth it, or no buying CAD 101.70 pro controllers nor CAD 158 joycons plus charge grip. Those linear resonant actuators must be made of gold.

A lot of indie games announced today support HD Rumble. Those games will be a lot cheaper then 1-2 Switch.

Did you not see the post directly above yours?

Here, I've quoted it for you.

Which ones ? Plus thats really sad to pay an expensive tech just to bé used on small indie games.

It should have Been in Big Nintendo games at launch like Zelda and Mario kart

Yeah I'm torn on the pro controller, I may just see if I can't snag one at a store release night and sit on it until I can see if how far away I sit from the TV affects the Joy-con connection.  I don't know why I've turned into such a tight ass recently but I hate spending that much on the controller.  I would love to buy a couple extra stands but there is no way I'm spending that much on those USD $90. Perhaps some people will only want to play the switch in portable mode and will eBay their docks (highly unlikely I'm sure but it doesn't cost anything but time to do a search on eBay).

You go from criticizing it and calling the feature useless, and then criticize developers for using it.

Ok.

Ok.

You didnt read well apparently, never criticized games developpers for using it in games.

But its Silly to put an expensive tech on your console and not éven make your big/real games benefit of it

Isn't that what you get already in many phones. I didn't think they gave a very strong rumble effect. They look very cheap to say the least and efficient but they really don't look very powerful. I've not used a joy-con though. They certainly look like something that would be much cheaper than rumble motors not more expensive. Xbox one controller has 2 large main rumble motors plus 2 trigger rumble motors. The effect can be brilliant. It's hard to imagine these joy-cons could get close to that. It will be funny if Nintendo have outdone Microsoft with such a low cost efficient alternative.

To be hoenst, I have never paid much attention to the rumble in the Xbox One controllers. Haha
I do notice when I don't have rumble when the battery is going flat though.
