And Atari was once on top of the console market. Your point being? |
My point is that Microsoft deserve more credit than being called a company that "focuses only on graphics and killed 80% of the studios out there". That is biased and innacurate.

Actually, it's very accurate while spouting past successes doesn't gaurantee the success of Scorpio.

Hmmm... no. There is demand for a more powerful box that takes advantage of 4K TVs and enhances performance/graphics. Most importantly, it doesn't phase out the old hardware. X1 also had the stigma of being an underpowered machine due to lower resolution games, now MS gets to have technically superior ports. Not a bad direction to go. |
I do not think there is any need for 4K and according to Eurogamer leaks if they are also doing checkboard resolution it will not help their cause. Scorpio is probably going to be worse than PS4P in demand. But time will tell.

Well people are buying 4K TVs so its safe to assume people want 4K content. The X1 S will sell better because of the lower price, but eventually more people will want the Scropio.
Even though games will be sub 4K, it will still resolutions higher than 1080p which look better on 4K TVs. The extra power will allow it to do native 4K more often than PS4 Pro.
I predict in about 4 years MS will allow developers to stop supporting the original X1/X1 S. Allowing developers of high end games to focus on Scorpio and perhaps a newer X1.

What you want is a keyboard with pressure sensitive keys. Roccat has one out with QEWASD keys that are pressure sensitive. |
I am aware of everything that you have spoken of.
Isn't the PC just great.
Also, I am not sure how far software support for pressure sensitive keys has progressed (as in what games support it).
Most 4K TVs are substandard and make upscaled 1080p/sub-1080p games actually look worse. The reason being, crappy upscalers. Neither PS4 or Xbox One can handle 1080p/60 fps gaming across multiple genres. But there will always be a market for a better looking upcoming console, such as scorpio/ps5.
Nintendo Switch isn't going to appeal to those wanting their graphics to look super nice, and approaching PC quality (minus some wankathon effects).
Too many kids on here who don't know enough about tech to make valid comment. But comment they do.
