Oh relly!?

Previous Edge 10s for comparison:

Super Mario 64
Gran Turismo
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Halo: Combat Evolved
Half-Life 2
Halo 3
The Orange Box
Super Mario Galaxy
Grand Theft Auto IV
LittleBigPlanet
Bayonetta
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Rock Band 3
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
The Last of Us
Grand Theft Auto V
Bayonetta 2
Bloodborne

I like the way Edge thinks! Four of those games are in my top 10.

I don't know how LittleBigPlanet ended up in there though 0_0

LBP got there because of its push to user content.

because hardware directly contributes to your gaming experience? I'm just gon let other nintendo fans explain it to you

The dude is probably sitting very far from his TV. thats my take on it, the joycons don't have super long range, probably because the antennas are in the 'rail' part and they don't send a very strong signal.

Granted, it is something they should have thought about.. but i would hardly call it a huge issue to move a bit closer to the TV. then you are just activly searching for things to bash

Agree, actually he is only that reported that Joy Con problem make Zelda playable for him, while actually most of reviewers didn't mention any Joy Con problems.

Not all the reviewers had that problem, so maybe the EDGE reviewer had a perfect experience with the Switch. And, well, tell me about one modern console hasn't had any problems on launch. Hell, even my PS4 likes to reboot sometimes, and do some random memory checks sometimes XD. As long as it's fixable, buying a console on launch date is preparing yourself to be a beta-tester.

or maybe because their review is abt the game and not the console

Maybe, I haven't read the review so I can't tell. I don't think that if the reviewer had massive control issies he would be pleased witth the game though XD.

This is a perfect recreation of this, clearly a signal-issue. it is not de-syncing like people are reporting. it is just not able to send the signal through a mass of human tissue (too much water that absorbs the signal).
Signal-strength issue, it is a drawback of wireless. but can be negated by sitting closer to the base station (switch)

Edit: if the controllers support firmware upgrades than you should be able to patch in a higher send-signal strength. it will draw more power ofc. so you get less batterytime, but it will prob. transfer data through objects more reilably

Not surprising, even Skyward Sword scored a 93, and it's always being criticized. Reviewers always have an extreme affection for the series regardless it's issues.

Do you actually know what exactly was criticized about Skyward Sword? Skyward Sword is always criticized by some people who didn't like motion controls or most linear structure till date for 3D Zelda game. So Skyward Sword is great and very quality games, but people opinions are divided about those two things, some loved motion controls or linear structure of game, other wanted more traditional controles and more open world like in previous Zelda games.

Still most of previews didn't mention any Joy Con problem (link down), and actually only two of them said its unplayable. Also Gamexplain video shows that you start losing signal of completely cover Joy Con, and one other video if you are to fair from console.

Follow their updates maybe? Those who complain abt the problem actually write some of those impressions you link. What'sup games actually literally show the problem in their video

Anyway, we should just leave this discussion on the other thread
