I think a 96 is the highest it'll reach. Too many people review games for it to get a score higher than that.

Certainly. But its going to be hard with clickbait reviews that we have so much these days.Having said that, this game may be so good that even the ones that will downplay the game just to get the clicks may not lower the score that much.
Personally I think its going to reach at least 97.But we will see.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Nah there will be unfair reviews that will bring the score down, it's still gonna be high like a 94 or 95.

I honestly hope that it doesn't get 99. No game should ever be that high.
It's possible, but very, very unlikely...

I think it will score 89-93 personally. While I think it looks absolutely amazing and the previews have been all great. I think it carries a heavy load and that is what will cause it to score 89-90....that's my guess. It could go higher but 93 would be the highest that I could see.

It will also depend on the importance of graphics for each reviewer.
I'm watching the Gamekult live preview right now, and he's saying a lot of great things about the game, but also complains about the textures and models being "fugly", an unstable framerate and the game looking too washed-out ("white filter on the screen everywhere during the day"). He's comparing it to the first Dark Souls: great game but with a bad technical part, and calls it an "almost low budget game" graphics-wise (lots of compromises to make it run on the Switch). He also had quite a bit of trouble with the controls and the Joy Cons (because of the triggers) and didn't really like playing on handheld mode ("even worse than the Vita in the hands"). Not sure how it will affect the score.
But according to him it took a lot from Shadow of the Colossus and other good bits of plenty of other games and dit it really well, so it should have a great score anyway.
Broken record here but it's almost impossible for any game to reach that now a days with the clickbait.
I think it will get 94/95 though.
