Forums - Gaming - Are there too many games coming out on PS4?

Did Sony intent to make us broke by overwhelming us with good games so we skip on the Switch?

Yes 105 50.97%

Probably 36 17.48%

Nope 65 31.55%

Total:206

They are too much for my wallet that's for sure

PS4 plus VITA. Sony is Satan confirmed.

I have currently wasted 140 hours of my life on Project DIVA Future Tone. I know it's gotten hidden under the deluge of Playstation games during these past couple months, but it is genuinely the greatest rhythm game ever made.

I bought Gravity Rush 2, but I got bored of it halfway through. There are too many side missions and they are too much of a slog. I wish it had fewer side quests and more challenges like in the original Gravity Rush.

I am extremely interested in Yakuza 0, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and NiOh, but each of those is a major time commitment.

I will probably get Nier: Automata simply because it won't take as much time to complete.

And of course, all of these games are really just time wasters until the greatest game ever made (and will ever be made) comes out in April.

Where's Kingdom Hearts? OP reported.

There is no such thing as too many games. The PS1, PS2 and now PS4 have diverse and distinct libraries. Unlike Microsoft, Sony actually caters to all types of gamers, including the shooterbro crowds. It Only Does Everything, indeed.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Playstation 4 has an excellent line-up! Way too many games to keep up with them!

Having too much games is pretty good.

Problem is that I'm already seeing some game trampling on others which will result in bad sales for some of these games, espescially the niche ones going against the big 1st party/3rd party game.

I mean Gravity Rush 2 bombed pretty hard. And I wonder what are the numbers for games like Yakuza 0,Nioh and Tales of Berseria.

I think the only game that maybe bombed is Gravity Rush 2, although the game is surprisingly holding its value, hasn't reached bomba prices yet.

Yakuza 0 is probably the series' best selling game in the West seeing the buzz, had tons of coverage by youtubers and ranks high on Amazon charts

Nioh is selling great, debuted at nr 2 in UK, 75K sold in opening week in Japan. Tecmo says the game has opened a whole new market for them, sounds rather great.

Not sure about Tales of Berseria, people say it's the best Tales in a while so its fanbase is probably buying it.

Reminds me of 2014 when we had many Wii u games...

This is ridiculous though. Kind of backfires to see so many games released in a short span. I think spacing games out would've benefited them

So much blue. It's so pretty.
