See another example showing that the OT is right.

Yours is a better exemple actually, a sony fan in conflict with nintendo and PC at the same time because he knows one has better first party games and the other offers you more games with better graphics, a classic.

If Nintendo had better first party I would have owned its systems. I haven't since the NES. As for better graphics - I'm still playing PS3 games so that tells you how much I care about them.

Here are the reasons why I think the different factions don't like Sony:

Nintendo - Sony removed Nintendo from the market leader position which led to systems like the Wii and WiiU.

Xbox - How this generation is turning is probably the biggest reason.

PC - For all the money they spent on the hardware the system still cannot have the best library in any given year.

You are so out of touch with reality is almost cute. Of course you haven't owned a Nintendo console since Nes, that explains why you are so painfully clueless about the company, most of your coments about it oozes the ignorance of someone that hasn't played Nintendo in 20 years, yet Nintendo threads used to be your favourite for some reason...

I loved Wii and WiiU so I have pretty much no problem with their existence, the main reason to get a Ps4 all this years has been third party games, those that PC plays better. But sure PC only gamers don't get the very best first party games, that's why they buy Nintendo consoles for

lol..... good one Rol. Anyhow, I enjoy the PC camp more because they are mostly not dumb or unrealistic when it comes to hardware performance or capabilities, mostly anyways. Most PC people on this forum also own consoles, hell, we probably all do, so we are not going to be as biased when it comes to dumb console wars. We get it, not everybody can afford everything so people will try to justify their purchases, well, we are not in that camp.

Some people hate Sony because they came in and wrecked two incumbents with their debut console. Then, kind of just roosted there ever since. It didn't have to be this way, it's just that Sony's rivals had been making some of the grimmest errors of their existence that allowed them to muscle their way in. So, instead of everyone settling in and just playing video games, fans of the other consoles continued the fight. This has been happening in some form since 1995. I remember when people said they wanted to become professional game reviewers to bag on Sony games back in the day. Ahhh, the memories.

Nintendo and Xbox fans may not be the best of friends, but there is an "anybody but Sony" alliance that's underlying between the two camps. It's funny, but the rivalries will always be there, like college football on a wide scale.

At times it feels more like this......

Fanbases PC Nintendo Xbox Sony
PC Conflict Conflict Conflict Conflict
Nintendo Conflict Conflict Conflict Conflict
Xbox Conflict Conflict Conflict Conflict
Sony Conflict Conflict Conflict Conflict

Ha, this is exactly what I was thinking.

Warz...warz never changes.

And who is gonna be the director of that movie you just wrote?

Maybe it has more to do with the brutal arrongance of some fans instead of any of that, the reason why Xbox fans and Nintendo fans don't have a lot of conflict, is not because there is a stupid alliance, is simply because there is no one side being utterly arrogant and condescendeting with the other and no people constanting suggesting that what you like is bad, you know? What about all 3 sides trying that for a while? You'll see how all the conflicts suddlenly start to calm down.

Who gives a shit about what other people say about a console? I've been gaming for a long time and this soreness is real because people let themselves hold grudges over plastic forever.  I don't mean Xbox and Nintendo fans have a literal alliance, I mean in general fans in both camps see each other as less of a threat than they do Sony. Most of this comes from people not feeling validated because they're not playing on the no. 1 console whoever the fanship may be, despite the console maker bending over backwards to give them content.

Fans of a console acting arrogant is one thing, but when a fanbase is being whiny because they constantly gripe that another console maker is keeping food out of their mouths is another.  If you spend more time whinng about your plaform of choice and how others threaten it, that keeps people away from it more than arrogant fans.

Just lock this thread please.

BTW this is in Website Feedback ? Really ?

On VGC we have four major camps, namely PC, Nintendo, Xbox and Sony. How do these fanbases treat each other? That's what the following analysis wants to find out and also why things are as they are.

Firstly, a short explanation of the categories that the relationships can fall into. For simplicity's sake, there are only three:

1. Buddies - Signals that the two camps in question get along fine with each other.
2. Neutral - Generally no strong feelings one way or another.
3. Conflict - Fanbases jump at each other's throats.

Secondly, to determine which category a relationship falls into, timeframes of a single week were evaluated and then an average was taken. This means that occassional quarrels between fanbases are not sufficient to qualify for the Conflict category, and likewise, occasional high fives between fanbases are not enough to call them Buddies.

Without further ado, here's the table with the results:

Fanbases PC Nintendo Xbox Sony
PC Master Peasant Peasant Peasant
Nintendo Peasant Peasant Peasant Peasant
Xbox Peasant Peasant Peasant Peasant
Sony Peasant Peasant Peasant Peasant

Finally, the conclusion: PC, Nintendo and Xbox fans all seem to gang up on Sony fans while generally leaving each other alone. In my humble opinion, this is because there's a lot of envy going around because all Sony does is win.

BTW, Fixed

Do you think you are not being condescending in the quoted posts here?
