I'm not sure the handful of responses here state that conclusively... it's only an informal, unscientific poll.

The current PS3 sales seem to indicate otherwise. 

lol that's funny I actually use my system to heat my house in winter lol I don't have a gas bill that way lol

leave all those baby on : XBox 360, TV, and big H/K amplifier and you have a perfect heater while you watch a movie without paying extra for it lol :P

me i'd like to find a study on how many buyers actually use the PS 3 for BR more than gaming..... and not because they don't find any games they want... but because they bought for that purpose in the first place....

I'll probably pick up a PS3 around late '09. At that time the price should be around $200 and FF will be out. Restoring full bw compatibility by then would be nice, if not I'll just get a used 60gb real cheap.  Not going to spend $400+ (most places sell the 60gb used for $450) right now when the games simply don't interest me.

I was going to hold off on a 360 until it hit $299 but decided it wasn't worth saving fifty bucks and losing a few months of valuable gaming time when I could be enjoying the system right now, so I bought one in January.

Wait. if BC is important to you, than WTH would you get a 360?

Reading through this, it seems the reason most PS3 owners don't get 360s and 360 owners don't get PS3s is because they don't want to/can't afford to spend the extra money. For those that do have both systems (e.g. Madskillz) it just comes down to personal gaming preferences. Me, I got a 60 gig PS3 back in Jan. 07 and currently I'm satisfied with Warhawk. None of the 360's current or near future games interest me at all other than Geow 1/2 and Mass Effect.(which aren't enough imho to warrent spending $350 for the console + $180 for the games) Thus, my personal gaming needs are being met. Seems to me that that is the case with most of the people posting here. Why should they spend $200-$500 if they are satisfied with the games/features they currently have?

Have to admit...360 has a killer library at the moment :D BUT PS3 in my opinion will cream it this year. 360's upcoming library is good..but just not as strong as PS3's

I for one, haven't touched my PS3 in a couple of months...Why? WoW. Oh, and now Brawl :) but i have plans on planting myself on the couch when MGS4/GT5 Pro come. After that, stand up and have a life until White Knight/FFXIII (if it releases this year, which i doubt) Infamous, Home, GT5 and a few others...then back to the couch ^^

So all of you who haven't decided yet, just wait and let the PS3 show you...or MGS4, whichever.

I think retrasado is on the point... people buy what they think is better and most suited to their taste and that's what everybody should do....

Well I could agree with you on this year line up (so far) but i don't think that having 3 4 or even 5 AAA game (yet to be proved to be AAA) doesn't make an entire line up quality.... it's the average quality of the entire library that make it and I think we all have to agree that MS did a good job on that.... personally I'd rather have 3 or 4 good but not AAA games to play every couple month than waiting for the big ones... and I think it's one of the strength of XB 360 library and future line up for gamers like me.... I've never bought that many game since the old ones like nintendo and snes and that was over time.... i buy a game every month on average on XB... i haven't finished all of them yet....my friends with PS 3 can't say the same so far...

just people have to stop looking at LCD's and plasma which by the way are not the best anymore...

you can find pretty decent DLP on ebay for nothing when you look at the size of your screen..... just check it out

why do you care so much then? anyone can add 5 games from one system on this site. your attitude is still not matching one  of a 360 owner.  and how old are you (?)(?)(?)(?)(?)(?)(?)
