Unless you have a fetish for overpaying, your not really getting a better deal on the PS3...Your either paying $400 for a Playstation with litterally no BC (which is very critical for both her and I), or $500 for a system that still won't have many "Must Have" games in her eyes. Like I said, I'd gladly buy her one if there were any exclusives she was interested in. And there aren't. Her little 8 y/o niece is having the same issues: Her PS3 doesn't have the games she wanted. Her Wii and Xbox 360 are getting far more play, since they have the PS2 games she wanted. |
Wait. if BC is important to you, than WTH would you get a 360?
Reading through this, it seems the reason most PS3 owners don't get 360s and 360 owners don't get PS3s is because they don't want to/can't afford to spend the extra money. For those that do have both systems (e.g. Madskillz) it just comes down to personal gaming preferences. Me, I got a 60 gig PS3 back in Jan. 07 and currently I'm satisfied with Warhawk. None of the 360's current or near future games interest me at all other than Geow 1/2 and Mass Effect.(which aren't enough imho to warrent spending $350 for the console + $180 for the games) Thus, my personal gaming needs are being met. Seems to me that that is the case with most of the people posting here. Why should they spend $200-$500 if they are satisfied with the games/features they currently have?
Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it
