Would you play Paper Zelda?

During a recent video, Aonuma joked a bit about the idea when it's brought up, but I have to wonder if it might be worth further thought.

Super Paper Mario has been done for a while, and playing with a new franchise might be a way to deal with the sequel issues that the franchise has had recently. Plus I was surprised to see how much fanart of a Paper Zelda there was out there.

It was more than I was expecting anyway.

So would that mean Paper Zelda is buyable? What would a game with the Zelda roster of characters and the writing of Paper Mario be like? At the very least I suspect it would alleviate concerns about Toad overpopulation.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Not paper but has a retro Zelda feel. I'd welcome a Paper Zelda or a Lego Zelda. Zelda series is open to any aesthetic they want it to be.

Specifically I am asking about a Zelda game done by the Paper Mario people, be it Paper or otherwise. RPG turn by turn combat

I'll pretty much buy any game with Zelda's name slapped on it

If we are talking about Super Paper Zelda, no. The Zelda series isn't comedic enough. A Super Paper Tingle might work quite good, though. But if it's a Zelda based rpg made by Intelligent Systems, sure, why not.

Since they just finished BOTW. Nintendo can make smaller Zelda games / Spin offs. Hyrule Warriors worked really well for them (It Got a 3DS version, and if it didn't succeed we probably won't get FE Warriors)

Pocky Lover Boy!

Would you find a comedic Zelda RPG unplayable?

Nah, that's not what I meant. I just think the Zelda series is way too serious and dark. I can't see it working with the goofy silliness of a Paper Mario game.

The Franchise has killer chickens. I'm sure they can make it funny. Plus let's not forget Paper Mario has some real creepy parts to it. See the GC and Wii for more information

It doesn't have to be paper Zelda specifically but I wonder what a turn based rpg take on Zelda would be like
