Theyll launch with more characters. But even if it is a low count like lets say 8-10 characters (my money is on 12-15), the difference here compared to other fighters i notice (like pokken and its starting 14-16 characters) is the sole fact that its more than what it appears due to the arm selection (2 each) which in an ironic way makes characters feel as if they had just multiplied by a good amount.

If we botb play mummy master, it doesnt mean we are playing the same character as i can use 2 different arms vs yours for ex

Oh this is a great point, Arms has a level of customization not seen in other fighters. I kinda regret not going to the preview event as I really want to try this game out. Hopefully there'll be an eShop demo.

Out of all the current known games, arms should be the number 1 priority for a demo. It needs to be a huge hit. I think it has the potiential to be a top 3 seller in the fighting game genre and a top 10 maybe top 5 in the competitive scene. Its uniqueness sets it apart imo.

Also i think it does have the potienal if done right to have a similar effect (obviously not as big as fighting isnt shooting genre) to overwatch if the characters have their own stories/etc!

Also springman/ribbon girl for ssb5!

Agreed, along with a Splatoon-tier marketing push that highlights that it can be played without motion controls. A lot of people, myself included, pre-judged this game as just a glorified Wii Sports Boxing HD, and this is a perception I think Nintendo need to nip in the bud. Have a commercial, for instance, that shows two people playing against one another, one with the motion controls, one with traditional controls.

Yeap. I knew from the trailer it was going to be this massive game, but i do get why many didnt at first. A Demo would do wonders for this game. Lets hope! Put this in the stores too to show off the switch.

Speaking for myself at least, this is the kind of game I probably won't buy without trying, as I am not into fighting games in general, but if there was a demo I would definitely give it a go.
