Forget FF itself and just look at JRPG's or heck other SE games on Nintendo consoles, handheld and home.
There is still a market there.

I'm not gonna forget FF because that is the game we are talking about, not some B-A rated spin off. A main FF game. A series that hastn appeared on Ninty consoles in a while. Sure there is s market for JRPGS but is there a market for FF on Switch? In a world where people can get the game for two (soon to be 3) other systems that they actually buy and play? and those systems will not doubt run the game MUCH better? I'm sorry I'm not seeing it. I think a switch version would do a bit better than Xone version and for the work they have to do that aint worth it. IMHO

How about lets bring up a hypothetical FF16.
Let's say they decide to go for some form of graphics of FF13-15 mix up. Something that still looks great, but is able to be on the Switch as well as the One/4
They all release at the same time. Do you really think there is not a market on the Switch. I can see people seeing a handheld final fantasy as a very appealing option. You know not having to be stuck on the same couch for a 100 hours, but being able to play in bed, one bus, at lunch, ect as well as their comfy couch.
And Yes I woudl gladly welcome a downgrade in graphics, if that meant the towns were bigger than a gas station and an RV, or they managed to complete the game and not have some hack/rush job in the last half of the game dropping plotlines, finishign plotlines through notes ont eh floor or learning about the entire 10 year timeskip from a boy telling you about it through optional dialogue.
If we go back to ff13 graphics to make a better story and world, I'm all game. Which, the Switch could handle. Thus in that scenerio, I could see the game selling at least half what PS4 does, and obviusly more than the one.
