Forums - Nintendo - These money grabbing Nintendo Switch videos are going too far...

So I'm sure most of you have seen at least some of the thousands of Nintendo Switch YouTube videos out there and after watching this video I just couldn't take it anymore. It is a perfect example of how these channels are just cashing in on what's the buzz right now by producing click bait titles and spreading false information to get attention.

So in the latest so called 'News' video by 'The Know' title states this; "Switch: Weakest Launch EVER? By the Numbers! - The Know Gaming News" It goes on to state that; "Lots of people are saying the Switch has a weak launch lineup, but now some of the numbers might actually back that up. One site released a study of launch lineups for the last 23 years..." I'd like to know how they found this article news worthy cause no where did they ever mention the N64's 2 launch games. I don't care whether you think it's a weak launch or not, I'm not going to agree or disagree on either side as both have there the reasons to back it up, but videos like these are just getting out of hand and need to be held somewhat accountable when they spread false facts just to get money.

Yeah I saw it and thought the same, is the hot thing now and internet loves to hate on Nintendo so gotta go with the trend.

Every time that I fall into one of these click bait videos I dislike it and usually leave a comment addressing the false information. This kind of youtube videos and channels can do some real damage to a console's launch or successfulness.

Eh...this one wasn't that bad. Wasn't any false information in it.

Oh no... not all just the small detail that they left out the console that makes the whole video's topic false. They said and I quote "Switch: Weakest Launch EVER" The Nintendo 64 launched with 2 titles, The Nintendo Switch is launching with 10. So as long as you ignore that one small detail, yeah of course that video was 100% fact and truth.

The N64 is 20 years, 7 months old, it's not even 21 years old yet.

They just go by year Im guessing. Its 2017 now, so 21 years ago was 1996.

Waaaait nevermind.

Nonetheless a clickbait title that suggested the Switch has the smallest launch line-up ever when that is not the case. Perhaps since the title suggests 'ever' but not the actual video it managed to get away with some things. But my main point remains, its another money grabbing clickbait Nintendo Switch video.
