Forums - Nintendo - What have you paid for your Nintendo Switch

Some people say the Switch is too expensive, some people say the Switch is too cheap (no, really) and some are just fine with it.

I want to know what amount of money have you not just paid for the Switch Pre-order, but everything else like games and accessories. How much is it worth it for you.

I went with:

Neon Blue/ Neon Red Nintendo Switch: 329€
Zelda: BOTW: 62,99€
Pro Controller: 69,99€

Total: 461, 98 €

Woah... nearly 500 €...

400€ for the console and a game. I certainly won't spend money right away on the pro controller after the last disaster.

461.98 is not nearly 500, it's around 460.

I haven't payed anything yet as I haven't preordered, I will buy the console+Zelda, i.e. around 350 € (there will be some offer).

I still got no preorder, but all I plan to get at launch is the system and Zelda. I'll buy additional controllers once I have a need for them. That could take until there are more color variants.

How will you get a system at launch with Nintendo artificially restricting supply?

Here in Aus a Switch costs $470 AUD, the equivalent of $358 USD.

If you want a game to play on it, say Zelda, and a Pro controller, that will set you back $660 AUD, or over $500 USD, in total.

Cheapest preorder option in France for console+Zelda (and still available for French people): 351€

Cheapest preorder option in Germany for console+Zelda was 392€ (not available anymore, currently it's 415€)

That's why I currently refuse to preorder.

329 €. I'll see what games I get when I pick the system up. No need to pre-order games, I'm sure there will be plenty at launch. Also not buying accessories at launch, don't need that right away.

I only have the system on pre order from a retail outlet which is £279.99. I will pick up Zelda and Bomberman in store when I go to pick up my Switch. I have £400 saved so I will see if any other games in store grab my attention. Lastly I have booked the day off work and will be at the store bright and early waiting for it to open.

I won't be buying till the holidays so I'm hoping for a bundle with Super Mario Odyssey and getting a Pro Controller for around £300 total, though it'll probably end up closer to £320...

Switch Neon $470
Zelda $90
Pro controller $100
Neon Joycon set $120

Total $780

Day One purchase (If available)
Fast RMX [Not sure how much it costs]
Sipper Clips $26 (converted from USD)
Has-Been Heroes $40 (will see how much I can get it for, from America)

Thanks, Australia!
