Forums - Gaming - Ubisoft: For Honor isn't coming to Nintendo Switch

Ps: I never said metacritic was a good indicator of quality, I'm just pointing out that you were counting the same games multiple times.

Good. :P But stating that metacritic is erronous applies to *all* games on Metacritic, including Nintendo... And not just Nintendo's competition.

Why did you remove Nintendo games by Rare and also count mutliple instances of the same game as seperate titles?

Because before the goal posts get shifted again... It was stated only "Nintendo games" are in the top 10.

Perfect Dark is not a Nintendo game, it is a Multi-platform game, it was made by Rare, the I.P is owned by Microsoft and was remastered/re-released on other platforms.

I did iterate on that in a prior post.

And Nintendo games?

Playstation has Sony games

Xbox Microsoft games

Pc has pc only games

Yes that's true.

I'm just unsure how what you're saying relates to my original post?

I said that people who want mostly Nintendo games, Japanese AA games, and indies would find that Switch a suitable primary console. You focused only on Japanese AA games and indies, ignoring what is clearly Nintendo's most enticing product. I also said there's evidence that people will buy Nintendo hardware without AAA games, e.g., Wii, DS, 3DS.

I'm not seeing how "PC gets more indies" or "Xbox also has exclusives" refutes anything I wrote.

I don't really know either.  I'm tired and can't remember what I meant.  Anyway off to sleep!

He's right though. No point in altering the truth. It can even be backed up by facts. Out of the top 10 of the best games of all times on metacritic, 5 titles are from Nintendo. The other 5 are basically Grand Theft Auto.

Best is subjective, so he's not really right. Highest rated according to metacritic =/= best.

Yup, and there's also the problem that metacritic doesn't really work all that well when it comes to exclusive games. Exclusive games tend to be liked by those who have bought the necessary system to be able to play that game, funnily enough. So they are already invested in these games when they come in. Owners of other platforms don't pitch in with the scoring, because they won't even care to play those exclusives in the first place. Otherwise they would buy the required hardware. On the other hand, those who buy a specific platform because of specific games, will naurally like those games very much and will give them high scores. So it's mostly Nintendo fans giving scores to Nintendo games, do you see the problem here? Sure, other platforms have exclusives too, but they have so much more games on offer that the exclusives don't really matter that much. Big third party games seem to be more important to the PS/XB crowd and due to the very similar offerings on the twins, the choice of platform really comes down to things other than the games themselves.

Wow so what I've noticed is that if a game doesn't come to Switch, fans react by saying "It's going to suck anyways".

Are you even surprised?

You included 2 and 3 different platforms of the same game twice ...

Just copied from metacritic top 10 list lol

Probably and that, in fact, will be sad. Kingdom Hearts always looked like a Nintendo game and never had a chance in any Ninty system.

What does this even mean?
