Forums - Sony - I dislike the PS4 feature Gameshare. I think attracts fake friends.

Bruh, this is such a stupid problem to have. My Best friends and I share a joint account where we split the costs of games that we're only mildly interested in. Case in point DMC4: SE and GOW3. General rule of thumb, If they don't know the name of your Mama, they aint your friend.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Can someone give me the crib notes on how this feature works?

Had a PS4 for ages now and have never used it.

You give someone the password for your account so they can put it on their system and download your games and play them. If they set their system as your primary they wouldn't even need to use your account to play the games after they are downloaded. So you could still play them on your own system using your account.

Not really a feature, and not really allowed either but I don't think Sony actually do anything about people abusing it.

Oh right - thats the same as Xbox One I think.

My old Xbox One is at my brother's house and is set as my primary. He uses his Xbox Live Silver account to play my games and to play online.

My new Xbox One is at my house, and is not my primary. I use my account to play downloaded games and play online.

So, uh, you're complaining about being able to play your games on multiple devices?

Anyway, 'Gameshare' is not a feature, it's abuse of the rules of another feature.

what? i've been online everyday since i bought my ps4 in fev/2014 and never a soul ask me for my account info... Silly that one should ask, moronic/stupid/dumb(please continue with every possible word that also means STUPID) if someone says yes.

Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4

This is a thing?

Honestly, I wouldn't even do this with my best friend, I don't want any potential risk of my account getting messed around with.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Whenever I hear of people share playing with strangers I think of this:

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

I'm pretty sure you can get your account banned for gamesharing as it goes against the terms of service so Sony definitely doesn't support it.

Not with you on this one. My PS library is vast, and I'm still desperately lonely.

That's like saying I hate the feature at the bank where you can come in with weapons and take all the money.
