Forums - Sales - WHo will do better next Holiday Season Ps3 or Wii?

In just the holiday sales alone. Both will do better than 360 in my opinion but which will do better?

Wii will still probably do better, but the PS3 will make the gap smaller than it was last year.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

We really don't know what Wii games are going to be coming out in the Holiday season, or how high production is going to be. Hard to say right now.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I see Wii doing better, with PS3 behind. There will be a bigger gap in numbers, but not as big of a gap percentage wise. Hope that explanation came out right.

...

I'm gonna go with the Wii even though I have no idea what games are releasing for it this holiday. The PS3 will give it a very good run for its money this time around though especially if there's a price drop before then (which I'm hoping for).

Kingdom Hearts 3 Bet: If Kingdom Hearts 3 becomes a multiplaform title/is not Wii exclusive then I will be banished from this land for 1 week and sing my praises to those who have proved themselves to be more intelligent than I.http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/RDBRaptor/rdbraptor_sig16.jpg%5B/IMG%5D">

I'd say wii, as it seems to always be a little bit ahead, however, as Stof said, we don't know the holiday lineup... E3 could reveal a new Zelda, Animal Crossing, or PIKMIN!!!! I WANT PIKMIN!!!!

Guitar Hero 3/ Smash Hits

Wii - it doesn't even need to release any games - all that matters is supply

Safe bet is the wii.  But anything could happen in 8 months.

As much as I'd like to jump on the "my favorite console will sell the most!!!" bandwagon, stof is displaying almost Parokki-levels of insight here.

In a few months we'll know what games Nintendo will be releasing for the second half of the year, how much Wii production is going to be increased, and wether the rumours of stockpiling for the next financial year have any truth in them. Until then, its far too early to even pretend we can say anything with reasonable accuracy.

Everyone knows it's going to be the Wii, though. =P

I would say Wii as long as supply is there.
